    THE BIBLE

    Long Ago Sacred Records were written by Men of God in HEBREW & GREEK

    Jerome translated the records from Hebrew & Greek

    As the number of Latin speaking Christians grew the Pope wanted it written in Latin not
    many people could read & write, those who did were clergy of the church.
    This Latin Version is called The Latin Vulgate

    1380 AD John Wycliffe translated from the Latin


    1456 AD

    OLD ENGLISH

    The Printing Press in Germany made it possible for many people


    to read The Bible

    William Tyndale secretly & in hiding - translated from Hebrew & Greek
    1526 AD into
    beautiful ENGLISH
    1500s

    1611 AD

    William wanted Everyone to read The Bible Not just Clergy


    More Translations were made Protestant, Roman Catholic, French & more
    Many people were burned & killed for trying to write, read & memorize The Bible in English

    King James hired 47 translators to make ONE Bible ALL religions would accept
    happy
    "The King James Version "
    From original Hebrew, Greek & William Tyndales Translation

    Joseph Smith was told by God to Translate a Few parts of The Bible
    The LDS Version is the King James Bible with Joseph Smith's translations
