7th Grade I SEMESTRE 2015
Name: ____________________________ Grade: 7 ______ Date: June____, 2015
Unit: 3 Opinions
Aim: Recognize and apply use of Modal Verbs, Reflexive pronouns and
vocabulary saw in class.
The purpose of this guide is to reinforce and practice main contents at home
and in class.
Month Value: Responsibility
Some modal verbs can be used to express probability in the present and past.
Examples:
He might not get the job.
I may not pass the exam.
I might not go to the match tomorrow.
Negative
Young children shouldn't
watch violent TV shows.
Question
I have a
problem. Should I call my
parents or my friend?
These examples have the same basic advice message, but had better is a
bit stronger. It includes the idea of a warning: something bad will happen if
you do not follow my advice.
For example:
You had better do your homework. If you do not do your homework, the
teacher will give you a low mark.
In the above examples, you can see that the modals are followed by the simple
form of a verb in these patterns.
Subject + modal + basic verb + ...
