    Solving the problem of trouble-free operation of the pipeline means early detection
    and repair defects of base metal and welded joints, insulating pipes.

    Given the fact that the pipelines and field and main are quite extensive and extended
    objects, the task of finding of defects is divided into several stages: identifying defects,
    their precise location, to determine the degree of danger, effective and high-quality
    repairs.

    After using any metods (acoustic-emission inspection, electrocorrosion, inspection
    pigging) of finding and lokalised of pipelines defection, as a rule, require additional
    procedures flaw detection control.

    Unlike external defects that are easy to visual control and measurement methods,
    internal defects require ultrasonic or magnetic methods and as one of the most
    convenient for this purpose - the acoustic emission method.
