Transdisciplinary Learning Language Arts Reading and Writing: Persuasive Writing, Inferring, Poetry Listening /Speaking: Speech and Poetry recitation Viewing and Presenting: Students will continue learning how to analyze and create Infographics to gain information and share their ideas. Students will also look at photography as a means to present ideas. Art Students will inquire into the involvement art can have to create social change.

5 Essential Elements Knowledge Students will learn about the role and structure of different NGOs . They will learn about world issues these organizations are involved with and also what it means to take actions and how to take action.
Concepts Form and function: What are NGOs? What are the roles and responsibilities of NGOs? Causation: What action do NGO s take and why? Reflection: How do we know if action taken by NGOs has been effective?
Language Arts Word Study: Students continue to learn word patterns to develop their spelling skills. Grammar: Students will continue to develop an understanding of sentence structure as well as use the thesaurus to empower their writing.
