To reach Kariangau Container Terminal, from the National road of Samarinda-Balikpapan,
constructed access road along 11 Km. This pathway starts from Km. 13 Balikpapan, which
will be linked to the Samarinda-Balikpapan Freeway
SCOPE OF WORKS :
work includes land clearing, bridge and road construction, also handling landslide at
some point passed
OBJECTIVE :
Unwrap access to the Kariangau container terminal from the main highway
EXPECTED IMPACT :
Convenience movement of goods and passengers to perform activities in the Kariangau
Industrial Estate. Furthermore, the ease of access will have an impact on the optimization
of transport costs and quality of commodities carried. This course will improve the quality
and quantity of movement of economic activity.

commodities in East Kutai, especially coal commodities.

Coal port development with a large capacity, in order to support export and import

In order to support construction and development of Maloy Industrial Estate,
electricity infrastructure is a variable which have to available. Therefore, in conjunction
with the construction of roads, electrical infrastructure is required. East Kalimantan and
East Kutai Government built necessary infrastructure in cooperation with several private
companies to provide electricity sector.
Development of potential area projected not to trade commodities as raw materials,
but the downstream product. Start from this downstreaming effort, it's required to build
factory in industrial area, to deliver value-added producs.
Coal port development with a large capacity, in order to support export and import
activities
OBJECTIVE :
Providing electricity infrastructure which capable to supplying East Kutai District generally
and Maloy Industrial Area particullary.
SCOPE :
Power Plant will produce 1400 MW Electricity (1250 MW for Smelter) and the
remaining for local community; 6 x 120 MW (Phase I) and 4 x 120 MW (Phase II)
Smelter capacity is about 0,25 Million Tons (Phase I) and 0,25 Million Tons (Phase II)

Improve export ability products such as coal, wood, CPO and agriculture product.
