The Latitude D505 notebooks are designed for users who require essential productivity and dependable
quality at a great value. Even with its affordable price, the D505 notebooks don't skimp on features,
using the Intel Pentium M or Celeron M processors and choice of either a 15.0" or 14.1" Active
Matrix (TFT) display. The D505 also offers Intel Centrino Mobile Technology featuring the Pentium M
processor, the 855GME chipset and Intel Pro Wireless MiniPCI card.

the side of the unit, the modular bay's innovative latch is designed for easy insertion and removal of the

Every Dell Latitude D505 notebook features a wireless networking mini-PCI card, 56K2 V.92 capable
modem and 10/100 wired network card as part of the standard offering. Included in the wireless
standard offering is a choice of either the Dell Wireless LAN solutions or the Intel Pro Wireless MiniPCI
card. The Dell Latitude D505 also features an optional TrueMobile 300 integrated Bluetooth solution.
Performance and Value with Intel Celeron M Processor and 855GME Chipset
The Dell Latitude D505 notebooks features Intel Pentium M and Celeron M processors, which utilize
a micro-architecture incorporating a power-optimized 400MHz front side bus and aggressive clock gating
designed for higher performance & lower power. The Pentium M processors feature 1 or
2 MB of power managed cache and Intel SpeedStep Technology. The new Celeron M processor
provides good performance at a great value, and includes 512 KB of level 2 cache. The D505 notebooks
also incorporate the Intel 855GME chipset, which offers integrated graphics capability with 4X AGP
and USB 2.0 support. The integrated graphics utilize the system memory as a shared resource for both
system memory and graphics needs, dynamically allocating a portion of the memory to graphics based on
the graphic demands of the applications currently in use. Up to 64MB of memory can be allocated to
graphics, and with integrated video acceleration, you can view high quality, full frame rate DVD on your
notebook or connected external display with exceptionally low power consumption.
