1. South Arne Phase-3 Detailed design


Client Hess Denmark / Dragados Offshore.
This is the follow on detailed design job awarded by Dragados, the main EPC contractor to
KBR.
Carried out the Docking analysis, Sea Transportation Fatigue analysis of Topsides using SESAM
and excel calculations and barge grillage / loadout frame design with hand calculations.
2. CLOV FPSO Topsides Detailed Design
Client Total E&P Angola / Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engg. (DSME)
The project consists of Detailed Design of 11 Modules, Piperacks and a Flare Tower for the
CLOV FPSO to be located in Block 17 offshore Angola in 1260 m water depth. DSME are the
main EPC Contractors for the project.
Responsible for the Structural Analyses (Inplace / Transit / Lift / Blast) of Primary Steel of the
Module 122, Water Treatment Module. Also responsible for checking the Fatigue lives (Spectral
Fatigue Analysis) of primary joints for the Module Structure. SACS 5.3 was used for computer
analyses. Also performed Von-mises stress checks on the nodal joints (flange extensions) of
the module.
3. FEED for NCMA 4A - Hibiscus Compression Module

The project consists of FEED for a new gas compression module to be installed on the existing
Hibiscus production platform topsides to augment the gas production from the NCMA 4A Field,
45 km offshore Trinidad.
The structure is a compression module designed for single lift offshore installation having
dimensions 30mx9mx8m and weighing circa 750 Te.
Involved in In-situ & Seismic, Lift & Transportation analyses of the module structure. Analysis
Package used was SESAM.
4. FEED for South Arne Phase 3
Client HESS ApS Denmark.
The project consists of FEED for WHP-E & WHP-N well platforms in the South Arne field,
Danish sector of North Sea, 60 m water depth.
Responsible for Analysis activities on the topsides structures for Operating & Temporary
conditions using SESAM suite of programs & involved in the concept development & layout
studies of the topsides.
Performed the Inplace & Spectral Fatigue Analysis of the Jacket structure using SESAM at AFD
stage.

1. Conceptual design of Floating Wind Turbine Supporting Structure DIWET 5


Client Energy Technologies Institute (A consortium of International energy companies & UK
Government).
The project consists of concept development for generic floating Tension Leg platform (DIWET
5- Deepwater Innovative Wind Energy Turbine) supporting a wind turbine in about 80 m -180 m
water depth. SLP were a part of a consortium performing the FEED.
Responsible for key structural assessments during the conceptual stage including the study of
different configurations for the platform. This included carrying out the quasi-static strength
analysis and modal (natural frequency) analysis for the same using SACS software and member
sizing.
Prepared a conceptual engineering report for the structure with recommendations.

The project is a Brownfield project for ONGC India, and consists of addition of a new
separation train and associated facilities on NQD well-cum-process platform to handle
additional well fluid from new platforms.
Responsible for carrying out offshore pre-engineering survey (structural) for the project.
Carried out adequacy check (Inplace Analysis) of the bridge connecting NQD platform to NQO
platform for the new piping added onto it using SACS software.

2. Hydra FEED Project


Client BG Exploration & Production, India.
The project consists of FEED for unmanned PL wellhead platform having 12 gas well slots in 55
m water depth offshore western India.
The topside is a two level trussed structure with a helideck.
Carried out Inplace analysis of deck and helideck structure & miscellaneous design like vent
boom design, crane pedestal design, connection design, vortex shedding, dropped object
study, etc. and pre-service analyses like lift and loadout.
Responsible for checking design drawings and review of PDMS model for the topsides.
Attended the HAZID review meetings with the client for the project.

3. Akcakoca Platform Black sea, offshore Turkey


Client Turkish Petroleum (TPAO).
The project consists of proposal engineering for wellhead gas platform (6 well slots) with selfcontained drilling/work over rig in 95 m (312 ft.) water depth in Western Black Sea
Worked on concept development & preliminary analyses (pile drivability, launch, floatation,
etc.) of the launch installed jacket weighing 1800 Te.
Responsible for preparation of MTO & man-hour estimates for detailed engineering for the
project.

4. Integrated Gas Development Project Umm Shaif Wellhead Towers US 40/24 & US 40/56
Client ADMA-OPCO, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The project consists of two number US 40/24 & US-40/56 wellhead towers to be installed
offshore Abu Dhabi, UAE for ADMA-OPCO & has drilled & grouted piles in about 25 m water
depth.
Carried out the following analyses & related design calculations:
-

Trailer Loadout, Sea Transportation, Lifting & Upending (two block, padeye design),
and On-bottom Stability & Mudmat Design of US 40/24 Jacket.
Transportation & Lift analyses of US 40/24 deck.

5. Al Shaheen Field Development Project 2005 GA, ED, GD & GB Platforms, offshore Qatar
Client Maersk Oil Qatar.
The project consists of ED & GD process platforms, GA wellhead platform, GB flare platform &
four interconnecting bridges. GB flare platform is part of the satellite block G of Al-shaheen
field. It is a tripod supporting a flare tower and a flare bridge connected to GA wellhead /
process platform in 54 m water depth.
Carried out the following analyses:

1. FPSO Cidade De Niteroi MV 18


Client Petrobras / MODEC International.
The project consists of design of 14 topsides modules for FPSO Cidade De Niteroi MV 18 in 1800
meters water depth offshore Brazil in the Campos basin.
Job responsibilities included design and analysis of the chemical injection and laydown area
module 5P weighing about 750 Te for various conditions such as inplace on-spec condition,
inplace no-shutdown, survival, transit and hull damaged conditions.
These analyses are performed using SACS software. Additional responsibilities included
preparation of weight control report and material take-off for the module.

2. Singapore Parallel Train Project


Client ExxonMobil, Singapore
The project consists of proposal engineering of 7 numbers ethylene cracker units for
ExxonMobils Singapore refinery complex. These cracking furnaces being proposed to be built
as modules & sea - transported to Singapore at the site.
Carried out the preliminary transportation analysis of cracking furnace modules (LxBxH: 20.2m
x 8.18m x 47m) by a cargo barge.
Job responsibilities included carrying tow analysis for route specific motion values using SACS,
preparing preliminary MTO of sea fastening and preparing an analysis report which was
submitted as a part of the bid proposal to Exxon Mobil.
3. 2nd Stage Booster Compressor Platform BCPB2.
Client ONGC, India.
Project consists of EPC for BCPB2 booster compressor platform for ONGC offshore India in
about 62 m water depth. The Jacket weight (4 legged) is 2070 Te and Topsides combined
weight (with modules) is about 6700 Te.
BCP-B2 to BCP-B Bridge
Carried out the detailed design of the bridge connecting BCP-B2 and BCP-B platforms. Bridge
span is 49 m. Job responsibilities included carrying pre-service & in-service analyses using
SACS and also carrying local checks and designs.
BCP-B2 Building Module
Carried out the trailer load out analysis of the building module structure. Also carried out
local designs like legpot grillage, etc.
Responsible for Carrying out the transportation analysis of the building module structure. Also
designed the sea fastenings (including grillages & gusseted connections) & the leg pot grillages
based on tow route specific motion criteria. Carried out the barge deck strength checks for
Miclyn-288 barge to sustain the transportation forces. Job responsibilities included carrying

out tow analysis, design of sea fastening & preparing a tow analysis & sea fastening design
report.
BCP-B2 Jacket
The BCP-B2 jacket is a four legged jacket with four main piles & six skirt piles. Carried out the
sea fastening design including grillages for BCP-B2 jacket based on tow route specific motion
criteria. Also carried out design of leg pot grillages & barge strength check for the same.

4. Vasai East Development Project (VEDP).


Client ONGC, India.
Project consisted of proposal engineering of three numbers process gas compressor modules
for BCP-A2 process platform, each weighing about 1700 MT.
Responsibilities included deciding preliminary structural framing based on Equipment Layout,
preliminary in-place & lift analysis of the module structure (in SACS software) and preparation
of preliminary MTO for submission with bid-proposal.
