$50,000 RAISED DURING 2ND SEVEN LAKES IN SEVEN HOURS

September 12th marked the second annual Seven Lakes

in Seven Hours Fundraiser for the Heather Schols
Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Skagit Valley Hospital.
This year over $50,000 was fundraised!
40 hikers set out in the Chuckanut Mountain Range to
complete the steep, 26.37 mile trek. Throughout the hike
support trucks were manned with snacks, drinks and
good spirits. Hikers sang on the trail to keep morale high
and formed new friendships. All hikers finished within
the seven hour requirement and were greeted by friends
and family at the trailhead.
After the final meet up, hikers and their families
caravanned to the afterparty at Aslan Brewing Co., a local
Bellingham brewery. Part of the proceeds from food and

drinks purchased there were added to the SLISH profits.

The SLISH founders, Kelly Schols, Kevin Bingham, Todd
Power and Ed Perry are already planning for next years
event.
Representatives from REI and Superfeet loved the
fundraiser and plan on spreading the word to other
outdoor companies. The buzz doesnt stop there, all
SLISH hikers have recieved a famous neon SLISH shirt
to raise awareness and interest for next year. Many new
hikers are planning to sign up.

NEW EQUIPMENT FOR SKAGIT VALLEY KIDNEY CENTER
