Lab. work #8 Spring and heat sink

Fall 2016

1 You are asked to design a spring assembly with the specifications given below. Create the 3D model of a
spring with attachments at the ends as shown. Print the solid model, on a single page, oriented as shown in
figure 1 below. Do not dimension the model. All dimensions are in mm. Printout a 3D view and include the
Properties window showing the volume.
The spring should have the following properties:
Spring diameter (outside diameter) = 62 mm, length = 280 mm,
Pitch (distance between each coil) = 20 mm (14 coils), and wire diameter = 8 mm

2 Reproduce the object (heat sink) shown below. Print out an isometric view as shown on one page with your
name. Use the dimensions provided (mm) but do not dimension the 3D model. Printout a 3D view and include
the Properties window showing the volume.
