Philosophy
Football is the ultimate team game and how we play
as a team will determine our success. Every year will be
different in terms of talent. Some years we might be
stronger at the skills position, other years at the line
positions. It is the coach's responsibility to give his
athletes a chance to compete and put them in position to
be successful. Personnel groupings, formations, motions,
shifts, variations of plays, and even play calling in our
offense will ensure the playmakers that are on our
offense will have plenty opportunity to touch the football
and set the tone for our offense.
Offensively I want to abide by the following concepts:
create opportunities for our playmakers to touch the
football, have balance and flexibility in our offense, use of
personnel to create favorable match-ups, match our play
calls/personnel to our strengths, and play with tempo to
control the game. These things will give any offense a
chance to be successful. Being multiple and flexible will
give us the best chance to use our best athletes and play
to our strengths.
Key Components
Installation
Below is a very brief overview of the
preliminary implementation of the basics of our
offense. To keep terminology confidential, a
coachs chart would like different and contain more
information. This installation will be applied to off
season camps and activities.
