Greetings to each of you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ!
It is joy to greet the YPDers of the Soul-Saving Sixth Episcopal District.
The Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) Conference was
derived from what was formerly the District Leadership Training Institute (LTI). The vision behind this conference was to impact the
future of every YPDer in attendance. I believe every YPDer should
have an opportunity to succeed in life and that the church should
provide the tools to ensure their success. It is my hope that YPDers
will be inspired to begin to envision their future.
Today we introduce The PhD Project. The vision is to have a significantly larger talent pipeline of African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans and Native Americans for business leadership
positions. We will also be introduced the GA-AFS (American Field Service) which is a leader
in intercultural learning and offers international exchange programs in more than 40 countries around the world. Throughout the day, we will be engaged in discussions of leadership,
vision, and action from accomplished facilitators. Our Allen Star Academy will prepare Allen
Stars to lead the future of this organization. It is crucial that we give them a foundation so
they can enter a youth auxiliary they are ready to undertake leadership responsibility.
I am thankful to everyone who has played a role in making this conference successful. I salute our Director, Sis. Pamela Veal for the leadership she continues to provide to the YPDers
& Directors in this district. Finally, I say thank you to our Episcopal Leadership: Bishop Jackson, Supervisor Jackson, and Mrs. Rosemarie Rhodes Miller for their loving support. Let us
continue to GROW in the grace and knowledge of Christ, GLOW in the abundant wisdom of
God and GO for Christ. Together we can inspire greatness, one YPDer at a time.

In the Spirit of Christian Missions,

Jeremy D. Satterwhite
