The Perfect
Vanilla
Cake
Ingredients
1 Cup of White Sugar
2 Eggs
Instructions
1. Preheat your over to 350F. Grease and flour one 9X9 inch pan or line a muffin pan
2. In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and the butter. Beat in the eggs, one at a time,
then stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder.
Add this to the butter mixture, and beat until smooth. Pour into your pan.
3. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or 20-25 minutes for cupcakes. The cake will be done when it
springs under your touch.

HOW TO MIX
The Perfect
Vanilla
Icing
Ingredients
3 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/3 Cup Butter or Margarine,
Softened
1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 to 2 Tablespoons Milk
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, mixed the powdered sugar and butter with an
electric mixer on low speed. Stir in the vanilla and add 1 tablespoon of
milk
2.Gradually beat in enough milk to make the frosting smooth. If the
frosting becomes too thick, add in a few more drops of milk. If it
becomes to runny, add extra powdered sugar.

Ingredients
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup white sugar
1/3 cup boiling water
3 1/2 cup milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup half-and-half
Instructions
1. Combine the cocoa and sugar in a
saucepan. Blend in the boiling water, then
simmer for two minutes
2. Stir in milk and heat until hot, but not
boiling. Remove from the heat and add vanilla.
3.Divide between four mugs and add 1/8 cup
of cream to each
Mocha Coffee
Ingredients
1 cup hot brewed coffee
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 tablespoons milk

1. Pour hot coffee into mug and mix all

6 cups apple cider
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 whole cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
6 whole allspice berries
1 orange peel, cut into strips
1 lemon peel, cut into strips
Instructions
1. Pour the apple cider and maple syrup into a large stainless steel
saucepan
2.Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice berries, orange peel, and
lemon peel on a washed square of cheesecloth. Fold the sides fo the
cheesecloth into a bundle and tie with kitchen string. Drop the bundle
into the cider
3. Place the saucepan over moderate heat for 5-10 minutes until it is
hot, but not boiling
4. Remove the cider form the heat. Discard the spice bundle and ladle
into cups.
Japan: Mochi
The Mochi is a traditional Japanese cake
made of rice paste that is usually prepared
in New Years Eve. Given the fact that the
rice paste is easily molded and can be
combined with a wide range of ingredients,
an unlimited variety of Mochi cakes can be
found.
Italy: Panettone
Panettone is a traditional Italian sweet
bread loaf.Despite having a very similar
texture to bread, it is considered a
dessert cake which is eaten at Christmas
and on New Year's Eve.Inside the
Panettone you''ll find several candied
fruits.
Usually the Panettone is served with
sweet liqueurs such as amaretto or,
alternatively, with hot drinks like hot
chocolate.
