Semester 1 Report 2016
Course Grade A
Semester Mark 88
During this semester students analysed the Ten Commandments and the movie Exodus: Gods and Kings while
summarizing life lessons we can learn from Moses and explored the concept of love and relationships from a Christian
perspective. Megan has achieved an excellent grade and is commended for the mature disposition she demonstrated
as we explored various concepts and ideas in the subject. I encourage her to participate in class discussions.
Course Grade C
Examination Mark 50
Semester Mark 58
Megan is a polite and friendly student who displays a positive attitude towards her learning. I was pleased with the way
she approached the Multiple Choice section in her examination but it was evident that she struggled with the Extended
Answer section of the paper. I would encourage Megan to continue to make notes for each topic and apply herself to
going over them regularly. By practicing the correct terminology she will find it easier to give comprehensive answers in
the future which will improve her results.

Megan actively engages in working carefully and conscientiously to improve her English skills and she is to be
commended for her sound attitude to her studies. I encourage her to read and view a wide range of texts in order to
broaden her experience of genres and conventions. Exposure to a variety of text types will assist Megans
comprehension skills and better equip her to deal with unfamiliar texts in the Comprehending Section of the
examination.
