EXPERIENCE
THE WOODS AT CANCO, PORTLAND, ME 2017-PRESENT
Practicum Student
Practicum placement as a student counselor to help retirement community members (65 years old +) deal with
life transitions and personal concerns. Coordinates with on-site supervisor to establish base relationship with
potential clients. Video records each session and works one-on-one with university supervisor to grow
competency and counseling skills.
Counseling 4 clients / week from January - May term.
Completing intake process for each client and learning about any additional paperwork along the way.
