GRADUATION SPEECH

To our School District Supervisor _________________________________

and academic supervisor , to our dynamic Barangay Captain of Canitoan
______________, our beloved School Principal, Mrs. Marjorie S. Obsioma, honorable
guests ________________________, dedicated teachers , dearest parents , fellow
graduates, ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant afternoon to all of you!
It is my great honor and privilege to be standing in front of you in this momentous
day of our academic life. This moving-up ceremony commemorates our past years of
hardship, trials and sacrifices as young leaners. As we climb the higher educational
ladder, new sets of tribulations are laid ahead of us but we must not worry for our
dearest alma mater, Canito-an Elementary School, have prepared us to bravely and
confidently face those challenges.
Sabay Sabay na Hakbang Tungo sa Maunlad na Kinabukasan is our theme
for todays event. Our theme signifies unity among the different stakeholders to secure a
progressive future. The collaborative efforts of the Government, of our Teachers, of our
parents and of our own self is the key in attaining our end goal of having a progressive
future.
Our government, through the Department of Education, continuously innovate
and develop educational curriculum that can meet the pressing needs of our time. The
present K to 12 curriculum aimed in making us globally competitive professional in the
future, equipped with the required academic competence at par with our international
counterparts.
Our selfless mentors and educators who have exerted their full effort to empower
us to become a model student and citizen of this country. They are working very hard
without taking into consideration the little compensation they received just to give us
hope of a better future.
Our parents whose love for us is so unconditional, that despite of the economical
hardship that they may be facing they still opts to send us to school and gives us their
full support in every endeavor that we undertake, hoping that one day we will have a
more comfortable and prosperous life.
A future of prosperity, success and progress is only feasible if we, the graduates,
will help our own self to be a better person than who we are right now. The
governments effort in providing a better educational curriculum, the untiring service
rendered by our heroic teachers and the undying love and sacrifices of our parents will
be futile if we will not cooperate and strive harder to reach our dreams of having an
improved life.
Graduating Class of School Year 2016-2017 do not forget this day, for at last we
have already conquered the valleys of obstacle and the spring of disappointments of our
six years of academic experience. But a gentle reminder, we may have conquered
those trials but we will surely face mountains of unsurmountable obstacle and ocean of
disappointments as we undertake to pursue higher academic learning. Nevertheless, I
firmly believe on what Mr. Ralph Marston said that Excellence is not a skill but an
attitude. So, we just maintain a happy, positive and hopeful attitude in every problems
we will face, disappoints we may feel and failures that we will experience, for all of these
things will mold us to be the person that our beloved parents and teachers envisioned
us to become.
Before I will end my speech, I would like to take this opportunity to express my
sincere gratitude to all our teachers who passionately taught us the different academics
and life values. Maam and Sir you are truly the candles that light our way. Thanks for
being patient to us and for sharing your precious time and wisdom to us, despite of our
hard headedness. Mostly, thank you for believing on our potentials, your great thoughts
will always be planted in our mind and heart.
To our very active School Principal Mrs. Obsioma, thank you for your great
leadership and for being an epitome of hard work and dedication. You have done a lot
for the betterment of our school. You are not just a school administrator but a good
leader of our community. Dearest graduates may I request that each and one of us to
clap our hands as sign of gratitude to our mentors, whom we will surely miss but will
never be forgotten.
This success will never be ours if without the support of our family. I personally
would like to thank my mama, papa, lola, and my siblings for their love and support to
me. I dedicate this achievement for you all and just would like to say Ma and Pa, that I
love you. To all parents, please stands so that we may recognize your presence. I think
they all deserve our loudest applause.
Also, this journey would never be completed without our friends who continuously
inspires us every day. To my classmates, thank you for all the good memories, the
sweet fights, the enjoyable group activities together and the laughter and tears we share
together. I will really miss your company. We may not see each other often but the
thread of friendship that connect us all will bind us to the rest of our life.
Lastly, I would like to give my sincerest gratitude to our God who made
everything perfect. Thank you for giving me these wonderful people .Thank you for your
letting us feel this great victory. And, thank you for your unconditional love and mercy to
us even if we dont deserve all of these.
Fellow graduates, we may leave the portals in our alma matter but we shall bring
the values and memories in this school. Now, we are ready to take another step in
reaching our dreams and we should not be afraid. Congratulation fellow graduates of
Canitoan Elem. School. Once again, Good Afternoon and God speed!
