1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing GPS Tracking solution which provided by Umniah as your GPS monitoring
software
We hope that our solution will be suitable for all of your tasks and will be simple and easy to use. This
software can be used for several of tasks to accomplish and its suitable for private and corporate usage.
Here below are some examples how you can use Software:

2. How TC730 works

Umniah GPS Tracking Software is designed to track position of moving Vehicles on digital map, for the
analysis of their movements, storing history and for the prevention of emergency situations (moving
into restricted area, moving out of allowed area, and speeding emergency situations).
3. Login on software

To login to g p s tracking user accounts please do the following steps:

Go to website utrack.umniah.com
Take you to the below

1. Login: enter Username and Password then press login to access the account
2. Lost login recovery: in case user forgets his login password, account info to the pre registered email will be sent.

Show/Hide Password: it will decrypt/encrypt the password
Change language: English/Arabic

4. Overview of workspace
After login you will be redirected to the main page:

There are 6 components in the main page:

4.1 Top panel
Top panel is used for fast access to various modules and places

1. About button: you can check w h a t version of GPS Tracking Software which provide by Umniah is
currently you are using
2. Help button: After pressing this button you will be redirected to this manual
3. Settings menu: In settings menu you can edit existing Vehicles, events and
etc.(more details about setting menu in this section)
4. Vehicle fit on map: Zooms map the way that all Vehicles from your list are visible on map
5. Ruler: Simple tool for measuring distances on map.
6. Show point: This function sets map focus to place of entered coordinates
7. Search address: Helpful and easy tool for searching address on map
8. Reports menu: Function f o r creating various reports . (More de tails about reports menu in this section)
9. Object control: not usable
10. Images Gallery: used in mobile tracker application
11. Maps Menu: In this menu you can cha n g e currently used map: OSM map,
GOOGLE maps or BING map.
12. Markers Type: here you can choose that all point of interest appear on the map or
Only based on a chosen category
(Governmental ,Military ,Educational ,Medical .etc )

4.2 Vehicle list panel:


In Vehicle list panel you can view Vehicles, search them on map create events and zones.

1. Vehicle tab: View current Vehicles statistics.
2. Events tab: history of events can be viewed (over speeding, entering or
leaving zones and etc.)
3. Places tab: Places tab allows you to create, edit and delete zones and
point of interest (more information can be found in How to work
with zones section 5.8.2)
4. History tab: In history tab you can view history, create reports; export them to
various formats etc
5. Visibility checkbox: This checkbox turns on or off visibility Vehicles
on map.
6. F o l l o w checkbox: This function centres selected Vehicle i n the m id d le of the
screen every time that GPS tracking device has refreshed his position, if multiple Vehicles selected map zooms
the way that all of them remain visible.

7. Vehicle name: Name of the Vehicle, date and time of last received coordinates.
8. Speed indicator: Shows current speed of the Vehicle.
9. GPRS indicator: Shows strength of GPRS (GSM) s i g n a l .
10. GPS signal: Shows strength of GPS signal.
11. Vehicle control Shows history, follow vehicle and edit data (pic 4.2.2 )

Show history: shows track line of the vehicle ( Pic 4.2.3)

Follow, Follow(new window): opens a pop up window to track the vehicle on the same page or on a new
tab ( Pic 4.2.4 )

4.3 Vehicle Details Panel: In this panel you can view more detailed information about selected Vehicle (Pic
4.2.6)

4.4 Control Tool bar (pic 4.4.1)
1. Close actions: hide control bar
2. Chart: It shows the below (Pic 4.4.2)

The chart reflects status of vehicle (Engine on/off, door open/close, Fuel enabled/disabled, Electricity
enabled/disabled) respectively, by lighting the icon when order is sent to the vehicle.
Speed
GMS signal level

3. Enable Fuel/Electricity: enables both Fuel and Electricity when a previous disable command is sent.
4. Disable Fuel/Electricity: disables both vehicles fuel and electricity in case both techniques are used.
5. Disable Electricity: disables the electricity only
6. Disable Fuel: disables the fuel only
Note: every time you need to disable/enable the fuel/electricity, you have to enter your account password to
confirm sending the command. *for security purposes

7. Current Odometer: you can add the vehicles odometer value to start counting from it. see (Pic 4.4.4)

8. Speed Limit: assign speed value to push an alarm if exceeded the specified value.

4.5 Language panel

4.6 Map
The map shows Vehicles with enabled trackers that are connected to the server o f Umniah. For
information about address speed and altitude of the Vehicle (Pic 4.6), click the left mouse button on icon
(name) of the Vehicle

Track the movement o f the Vehicle is drawn behind t he vehicle in a zigzag p a t t e r n . The more
frequently transmitted the point form the tracker, t he smoother the line track.

5. Working with Our Software

5.1 Working with Vehicles

5.1.1 Managing Vehicle data

To edit data info, please follow next steps:


1. Click on Settings menu in Top panel.
2. In setting window you will see newly created Vehicle (Pic.1.8)
3. Press edit Vehicle button.
4. Edit Vehicle window will appear.

Main Tab Fields:

Name of the Vehicle


IMEI
Transport model
VIN
Plate number
Odometer (km) in odometer field you can set how many kilometers the vehicle has moved . Note
that odometer refreshes every 5 minutes and it is not a precise tool, results of vehicle odometer and
GPS-server net odometer may vary.
Engine Hours
Icon Pick icon that Vehicle will be marked in Vehicle list.
Driver Pick driver from created driver list created by you.
Group Add Vehicle to created group.
SIM Card number

Setting fuel consumption parameters

Note Umniah GPS Tracking Software fuel consumption statistics may vary from real fuel consumption of
your vehicle.
In order to receive fuel consumption statistics in your reports you need to set fu el consumption parameters. To do
so please open sitting m e n u from Top panel,
selectt Vehicle and click on edit Vehicle button. In Edit Vehicle window click on Fuel consumption tab.
After opening fuel consumption tab, you will see below:
2 empty fields
Summer rate (liters per 100 km). Here you need to enter how much fuel vehicle consumes per 100km during
summer period.
Winter rate (liters per 100 km) . Here you need to enter ho w much fuel
Vehicle consumes per 100km during winter period.

After you fill fuel consumption fields and set winter period date, press
Save button.

Services
Our GPS Tracking Software helps you control your vehicle maintenance process through the Service tab ( Pic
5.1.5 )

To add a service to the selected vehicle, please press the add + button down to the left, and the below window will
appear : (Pic 5.1.6 Service properties)

Service
Name: Service name
Odometer Interval: Distance after which service must be applied
Engine Hours Interval: time interval after which service must be applied
Days interval: Number of days which service must be applied
Last service (Km): Enter distance when last time service was done
Last Service (h): enter the last time service was done
Last service choose last service date

Trigger Event
Odometer left (Km): event will be triggered if chosen distance reached. Option available only if odometer interval
(km) is checked.
Engine Hours left (h): event will be triggered of chosen time reached. Option available only if engine hours
interval(h) is checked.
Days left: Event will be triggered if specified days reached. Option available only if days is checked.
Update last service: automatically updates information.

Current object counters


Current odometer (km): current odometers results
Current engine hours (h): current engineer hours results
5.2 Working with groups

With a large number of Vehicles is often convenient to split Vehicles into groups ( for example, Couriers,
T u r k s , V a n s and e t c .) You can create an unlimited number of groups.This significantly simplifies
and s p ee d s up the work with a large number of Vehicles.

5.2.1 Creating a group

To create a group of Vehicles open S e t t i n g m e n u f r o m Top panel, s e l e c t Vehicle group list tab from
Vehicles tab (Pic 5.2.1.1). Press + button

Enter name and description of group and press save button

5.2.2 Adding Vehicle to group

To add Vehicles to Vehicle group open setting window from Top panel. In Vehicles tab select Vehicle f o r
Vehicle l i s t and p r e s s Edit button. In Edit Vehicle window choose group from Group drop box menu (Pic
5.2.2), press save button.

5.3 Driver

5.3.1 Creating a driver


To create a Driver open Setting menu from Top panel, select Driver list tab from
Vehicles tab (Pic.5.3.1.1). Press + button.

Vehicle driver proper ties window will appear. After entering data ab ou t d ri v er such a s Name, I D number,
Address, Phone, E-mail press save button (Pic 5.3.1.2).

5.3.2 Adding driver parameter to Vehicle
To add Driver parameter to Vehicle open settings window from Top panel. In Vehicles tab select Vehicle
form Vehicle list and press Edit button. In Edit Vehicle window choose driver from Driver drop box menu (Pic
5.3.2), press save button.

5.4 Events

Events are used to simplify monitoring on Vehicles. They inform you about breaking set rules like over speeding and
when Vehicle leaves or enters selected zone. This is very useful tool for work with Vehicles.

5.4.1 Creating Event


To create a notification about the event open Settings window from Top panel and click on Events tab. (Pic
5.4.1.1) Press + button.

Event proper ties window will appear (Pic 5.4.1.2).

Event properties:

Main
Event active. Turns on and off event. Very useful if you dont need to receive event massages but want
keep the event for further usage.
Event Name: Name of event that will be displayed in the events list and under which messages will be
received.
Event type: In current version Our GPS Tracking Software current events are supported:
SOS Notification of SOS alarm button is pressed on the Vehicle
over speed Vehicle exceeded the prescribed speed.
Under speed Vehicle has slowed down below the specified speed.
Sensor Event is triggered by sensor, opened door, started engine etc.
Zone in Vehicle entered the zone. / a turn off command can be sent automatically if vehicle entered
the zone; this is configured from the Admin side.
Zone out Vehicle left the zone / a turn off command can be sent automatically if vehicle entered
the zone; this is configured from the Admin side.

Vehicles
Selected Vehicles: Select Vehicle for which event is created. For selecting multiple Vehicles keepCtrl button
pressed.

Notification about event


System message: Turns on and off system message.
Note: that system message will be seen only in used browser window.
Message to E-mail box: Turns on and off message to e-mail which is triggered by selected event.
Note: that only one e-mail address can be used.
SMS to mobile phone Sends Event message via SMS.
Sound alert: contains many alert sounds

Event conditions
No connection period (min).
Speed limit. Sets speed limit, works with over speed and under speed events.
Sensor conditions. Select sensor and describe conditions of generating report.
Selected zones. Select zone from list (information how to create zone can be found here
5.8.2).For selecting multiple zones keepsCtrl button pressed.

After setting all parameters press save button.


5.5 User I n t e r f a c e

To change user interface settings open Setting menu from Top panel and click on User interface Tab Pic (5.5.1)

Map
Remember last map position. Every time you login to Software map will be in the place where
you left it.
Show Vehicle tail. Shows route between two last received coordinates.
Vehicle tail color. Change color of tail route.
History route color. Change color of route viewed in history.
History route highlight color. Change color of highlighted route viewed in history.
Show icon o n map. Select with arrow or icon for the Vehicle to be displayed
on map.
Other
Language Change language of user interface.
Unit of distance Select miles or kilometers as distance measuring units.
Unit of capacity Select liters or gallons as capacity m e a s ur i n g units.
Unit of temperature Select Celsius or Fahrenheit as temperature measuring scale.
Time zone Change time zone.

After changing parameters press s a v e s .


5.6 Password

To change password open Setting menu from Top panel and click on my accounts Tab

Enter current password and press save button.


5.7 Working with Zones
Zone - is set by you on the area map, it s purpose is to notify you when Vehicle
enters or leaves the zone.

5.7.1 Creating Zone


In order to create Zone please open Places tab in Vehicle list then press on Zones (Pic 5.7.1).

Press draw zone button (marked with red circle on Pic 5.7.2). Choose name for the zone color in which it
will be shown o n the map. Mouse c l i c k on map will add zo n e
p o i n t . Double click will add last point and switch to vertices edit mode. Drag vertices to modify zone.
However vertices with mouse and pressDel key to remove it

After creating Zone press save button.


5.7.2 Editing Zone

To edit zone o pe n P l a c e s tab in Vehicle list panel, s e l e c t zone yo u want to edit. Select Zone you want to
edit and press Edit button (Pic 5.7.2).

Zone properties window will open. If you want to change shape of the zone simply select point (Pic 5.7.3
point nr.1) press left mouse button and drag to desired position, releasing left mouse button two new points
will appear (Pic 5.7.3 point nr.2). New points can be used to create new lines and every time you use
them two new points will appear. After editing press save b u t t o n this is very easy a n d
Intuitive way for zone editing.

5.7.3 Deleting Zone

To delete z o n e o p e n P l a c e s tab in Vehicle l is t panel, s e l e c t zone y o u want to delete. Select Zone you
want to delete and press Delete button

5.8 Working with Markers

5.8.1 Adding marker to the map

To add marker t o map you need to go to Vehicle list panel, o p e n p l a c e s tab and click on add marker
button (Pic 5.8.1).

Enter marker name and choose marker pictogram. Mouse click on map will add marker. Next mouse click will
change marker position on map. Click on icon from list to change marker icon. Press save button.

5.9 Reports

With the reports, you can get the information you want for the selected period of time. It is very easy
configurable tool that makes it easy and convenient to get the
Information you need.

5.9.1 Creating Report


To create report open report menu from Top panel. Report menu window will appear

Report window properties:

Vehicles: Select the Vehicle or Vehicles for which you want to create the report. For selecting multiple
Vehicles keepCtrl button pressed.

Report type and conditions


Filter: Simple way to set time period of report.
Time From/Time to: Precise way to set time period of report.
Type: Choose the type of report

General information. Report that provides basic information like: route length, top speed, average
speed, consumed fuel and etc.
. Drives and stops report provides same information as general report but adds Vehicles stops and
driving information, like address where Vehicle stopped, duration of intervals between stops and etc.
T r a v e l sheet report.
Over speed r e p o r t . All recorded cases of speeding will be reflected i n the report as well as additional
information such as how much the speed has been exceeded, the excess time and etc.
U n d e r speed report. All recorded cases of under speeding will be reflected i n the report.
Zone in/out report. Entry time in each zone, e x i t time zone length of stay in the zone.

Format Select format in which report will be generated: HTML (for viewing in browser) or
XLS (for viewing and editing in Microsoft Excel)
Stops Set tim e of stops that will be not included i n report, used for traffic light, gas
Stations stops and etc.
Speed limit (km/h) Set speed limit for over speed and under speed reports.
Show addresses: addresses of start end and stop point will be shown in report.
Schedule: you can schedule the report to be sent to a pre defined email daily or weekly

To view report press Generate report button, if format is set to HTML new tab with generated report will open,
i f X L S browser, i t w i l l suggest downloading Excel f i le with report.
6. Mobile appl i c at i ons

GPS-tracker, mobile applications for Umniah GPS Tracking Software turn your smart p h o n e or tablet into
a GPS tracking device. It can be installed on Android mobi l e device and used as usual GPS tracker.
