Letter from your

Letter from your VP..1
Vice President... Key Club Corner..2
In America, we have freedoms that we expect and are often Events Near You..3
taken for granted. We have the freedom to make our own
decisions, the freedom to choose how we spend our time, who
we love, and even the freedom to choose to be part of a solution
to a problem. All of these freedoms give us greater choices. We
can choose freedoms that allow us to influence others and even
choose freedoms to protect the freedoms we have and freedoms
we want to establish. Although you might think these freedoms
come with being in America, we forget that these freedoms were
fought for, people served and died because they believed in you
or the idea of you being able to grow as a person. Each and every
one of us devotes our lives to what we love and believe in.
Meanwhile, while doing so, we build and protect the freedoms
of our community. As Key Clubbers, we are proud to protect the
rights of those in our community and those around the world
who seek the freedoms that we have. We fight for Project
Eliminate, The Pediatric Trauma Program, UNICEF, and projects
around our community. As the fireworks explode in an array of
colors overhead, I want to say: thank you, each and every one of
you, that fights for the rights and freedoms of others. I am proud
to be a part of so many projects that protect people and bring
people together in the name of service. Without fail
WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER
Key Club Corner

Connection It is what Key Club is all about. We strive to positively connect with our
community and peers. Each individual connection leads to something greater. Each
connection that you make can change lives of that person, yourself, or your community.
Connection is not just for those we care about and hold as part of our family or even those
we serve. Connection can be through a common cause, a similar situation or even a shared
interest. Each and every person deserves good connections which have the potential to
help them through life.
Talking with a person, a stranger, a loved one, or a friend can affect your life and theirs as
well. It can uplift spirits and make that person feel not only welcomed, but cared about.
There are always people having rough days, everywhere, and if each and every one of us
can make a connection with one of them we can influence them in positive ways. As a Key
Clubber, this welcoming and nonjudgmental attitude should be one we strive for every day.
Accepting and learning through our differences in order to celebrate the diversity of
goodness that exists throughout the world.
As a Key Clubber, we encourage you to look into causes that bring you closer to those of
similar interests. Having unique ideas to celebrate service within Key Club and your
community allow connections to be made to foster a better world. As Key Clubbers and
the Kiwanis Family, we bring those who need help and connections in and help them
become leaders to foster better connections with everyone around them. Growing the
extended web of connections that allows us to feel comfortable and proud to announce
that if nothing else, we are Key Clubbers.
Because, as always.. We are better together.
