For each sieve size and trial, the weights of the wet soil, oven-dry soil, and container were recorded. The moisture loss and water content were then calculated.     From sieve no. 4

    Trial 1:

    Wt. of wet soil + container = 47.76 g

    Wt. of oven dry soil + container = 46.33 g

    Wt. of wet soil = 20 g

    Wt. of oven dry soil = 18.57 g

    Wt. of container = 27.76 g

    Moisture Loss = 20 18.57 = 1.43 g

    Wt. of oven dry soil + container = 77.15 g

    Moisture Loss = 50 47.28 = 2.72 g
