The NEBOSH Construction certificate is specifically aimed at people in the construction industry. This construction qualification is
aimed at those who are required to provide routine, day-to-day advice on health, safety and welfare in construction work

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate helps managers, supervisors, designers and CDM Co-ordinators from the Construction
Industry to manage risks effectively. It may also prove effective for those who have to manage the activities of contractors. The
qualification is specifically referred to as a key competence in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.
The qualification is also appropriate for supervisors and managers working in other industries such as utilities, and even broadcasting,
where temporary workplaces are a feature of their activities. Many people take NEBOSH courses as a first step on a career in
construction health and safety. It provides a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study.
KEY OBJECTIVES
COURSE DURATION
This course takes place over an 11- days period, plus exams.
PROGRAMME
The practical assessment is carried out in the candidate's own workplace. The practical must be completed within 14 days of sitting the
examination for the NGC1 & NCC1 units.

SAFETY & HEALTH
CERTIFICATION
Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful
achievement of each unit. A Certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment. The
practical assessment is carried out in the delegates own workplace.
The Certificate is accepted by IOSH the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health in meeting the academic requirements for
Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM)
for associate membership.
The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by the
Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills
(DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. The logos of these
organisations will appear on the certificates awarded for the qualification.
EXAMINABLE UNITS
There are three major course Units (NGC1, NCC1 & NCC2) to successfully complete before you become fully certified with the
NEBOSH National Construction Certificate qualification.
Examinations comprise of two 2-hour written papers for each of the core unit modules (namely NGC1 & NCC1), which means there
are two, 2-hour examinations in total. Each written papers consists of one long answer question and ten short answer questions.
Students must also complete a practical inspection report assessment, which consists of carrying out a risk assessment of a workplace
and preparing a short report this is known as Unit NCC2.
The core Unit exam papers will be marked by approved NEBOSH examiners that provide basic feedback and an overall grade. You
need to gain a minimum passing grade of 45 out of 100 marks for each of the core Unit exam papers. The Unit NCC2 inspection
report is graded by your assigned tutor where you are required to gain 60 out of 100 marks to pass.
LOCATION
Our training venues have been carefully selected to ensure that delegates are provided with a comfortable learning environment. All
rooms have natural lighting, air conditioning and provide quality food and refreshments.
PASS RATE
Our pass rate for this qualification is in excess of 90% and sees a high number of credits and distinctions.
PRICE
Price includes exam fees, Examination Registration, Delegate Registration, Couriering of Notes & Certificates, course materials, lunch
and refreshments.
NOTE:
This course requires 6 Weeks in advance exam registration notice to NEBOSH. Added to this, theres a 2 weeks prior to the start of
the course an individual delegate registration required by NEBOSH. Delegates will be required to sit the relevant examinations plus
carry out a practical assignment, which is to be completed back at the workplace and submitted directly to MAWA within 10 working
days. Failure to do this will result in the delegates failing this element of the certification.
