CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION

Hyundai Motor India Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hyundai Motor
Company in India. It is the 2nd largest automobile manufacturer in India. Hyundai
/Atos Prime is made only by Hyundai Motor India Limited.

Hyundai Motor India Limited was formed in 6 May 1996 by the Hyundai Motor
Company of South korea. When Hyundai Motor Company entered the Indian
Automobile Market in 1996 the Hyundai brand was almost unknown through out
India. During the entry of Hyundai in 1996, there were only five major automobile
manufacturers in India, i.e. Maruti, Hindustan, Premier, Tata and Mahindra.
Daewoo had entered the Indian automobile market with cielo just three years back
while Ford, Opel and Honda had entered less than a year back.

For more than a decade till Hyundai arrived, Nlaruti Suzuki had a near monopoly
over the passenger cars segment because TELCO and M&M were solely utility
and commercial vehicle manufacturers, while Hindustan and Premier both built
outdated and uncompetitive products.
CHAPTER 2
COMPANY PROFILE

HYUNDAI MOTOR INDIA LIMITED is an unlisted public company


incorporated on 06 May, 1996. The registered office of the company is at PLOT
NO.H-1, SPICOT INDUSTRIALPARK, IRRUNGATTUKOTTAI,
SRIPERUMPUDUR TALUK, KANCHEE-, -PURAM DISTRICT.602 105. T.N.,
Tamil Nadu.The total paid-up capital is INR 812.54 cr. The company also has
secured loans in the amount of 275.00 cr. The last reported AGM (Annual General
Meeting) of the company, per our records, was held on 19 August, 2016. Also, as
per our records, its last balance sheet was prepared for the period ending on 31
March, 2016.

The company has 12 directors/key management personnel

Hyundai vehicles run the gamut from budget cars to luxury sedans to commercial
trucks. South Korea's leading carmaker, Hyundai Motor produces compact and
luxury cars, SUVs, minivans, trucks, buses, and other commercial vehicles. Its cars
are sold in 180 countries through some 6,000 dealerships. Hyundai generates about
half of its sales in South Korea, but its vehicles are also popular in emerging
markets such as China and India. The company operates a dozen manufacturing
plants in China, the Czech Republic, India, Russia, South Korea, Turkey and the
US. It sold 3.6 million passenger cars in 2010, but only 500,000 in the US, where it
does business as Hyundai Motor America. Hyundai also owns a 34% stake in Kia
Motors.

The Hyundai Motor Company is a South Korean multinational automotive


manufacturer headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

The company was founded in 1967 and, along with its 32.8/o owned
subsidiary, Kia Motors, together comprise the Hyundai Motor Group, which is the
world's fifth largest automaker based on annual vehicle sales in 2013.

CHAPTER 3
OBJECTIVE OF STUDY

There port contains the information of fi nancial ratios of the Hyundai Motor
India Limited(HNlIL), a big name i n automobile.There port is being prepared as
a part of academic course that is financial management.

This report is basically prepared for knowing the financial strength and
weakness of the company and the liquidity position of the company.

To know the financial strength and weakness of the company, the ratio
anal ysis has been used as a key tool.

The study also includes:


1. To identify important attribute's that the consumers consider before
purchasing a car.
2. To know consumer preference & level of satisfaction towards Hyundai Car.
3. To know the factors that induces customers to buy Hyundai cars
4. To know the perception of customer towards Hyundai Car
CHAPTER 4
SCOPE OF THE STUDY

The main purpose of the study is to understand the customer satisfaction and to
know the customers behaviour towards Hyundai motors.
Consumer behaviour is the study of how individual make decisions to spend their
available resources on consumption related items. The study focus on consumer
behaviour & their satisfaction in buying a car.
CHAPTER 5
RESEARCH MEHODOLOGY

The data is collected through secondary sources namely Software (capital in


eplus) and Reference book (1.M.Pandey).
Hyundai has 6 centers worldwide. Located in Korea (three offices)
Germany,Japan and India.
Additionally, there is an American design centre in California that develops
designs for US markets.
In this study the data were collected by questionnaire cum interview method.
There were two types of data collection, primary data and secondary data. The
primary data were collected by well-constructed questionnaires answered by the
respondents also through personnel interview with respondents & Secondary
data was collected from the newspapers, magazines and Internet.
CHAPTER 6
DATA COLLECTION

The data collection report will describe the different data collected, as outlined in
the partners methodology report, on which the training package is designed. This
data will address the various aspects relative to professional development and
scientific inquiry each partner has chosen to focus upon. The data collection report
may include the following points though partners may elaborate on any additional
features which help describe their project fully:

A description of the data source(s)


From where was the data collected, (description of the environment and
participants, number of classes researched from which the data was used
etc)When and over what time period was the data collected
The form the data took, so that this might be useful to the purpose of your
study (e.g. questionnaires, videos, interview transcripts etc) How does the
data collected reflect and answer the research questions/needs, you have
previously identified in the methodology report?
How does the data from each data source shape the design of the
professional development program (training module)? Report on any
deviation from the initial data collection plan (if any) as outlined in the
methodology report.
DATA ANALYSIS REPORT
The data analysis report will describe the results/findings derived from the analysis
(as described in the methodology report) of the data collected (as described in the
data collection report) and elaborate on the ways that this information can be useful
in the design of the specific professional development program (training package).
Partners should describe fully the methods implemented in analysing the data (e.g.
qualitative, discourse analysis, pre-post comparisons, video analysis) and present
the findings which are used in the design of the training package.
Present and explain the findings of the data analysis
Describe the ways the results/findings will be used for the development of
the professional development program (training package)
