ANSWERING QUESTION

1. Determine the sugar blood level in mg glucose/ 100 mL?

Answer :
From the curve above we get the regression equation :
y = 0,2135x+ 0,5511
0,681 =0,2135x + 0,5511
0,1299 = 0,2135x
0,2135x =0,1299
x = 0,6084
x = 0,6084 x 100 = 60,84 mg/mL

2. What is the function of heating solution in experiment above?

Answer :
The function of heating the solution is to increase reaction rate. So the
reaction will be faster.

3. Explain the role of insulin hormone for regulating sugar blood level?
Answer :
The hormone insulin plays an important role in the process of
moving glucose from the blood into the cells of the body. Glucose in
the cell body and then metabolite, resulting in calories (energy). The
reduced effectiveness of insulin also resulted in decreasing levels of
glucose enter the cells. As a result, the cell body is deprived of
glucose and trying to get calories from fat breakdown. The breakdown
of fat will produce ketones which can lead to ketoacidosis. So, Insulin
works as stimulate the conversion of glucose into glycogen for storage
in the liver, helps blood sugar get into cells to produce energy and
stimulates glucose oxidase for respiration in cells. So when blood
glucose is too low, less than the normal amount, Langerhans alpha
cells of the glands will secrete more of the hormone glucagon, glucose
levels in the blood will rise, this process will continue until blood
glucose levels are in the normal amount.
