Submitted by: gheorghe dan-andrei

In Gothic 3 it are two ways to open the console the first is to modify the "ge3.ini"

file. The second is to type Marvin in the game. The second cheat discovered is a bug

very usefull. It work with some items ( plants, some potions, and other you can use)

First use the item. When the effect of the item starts close the inventory. This is

a good way to obtain life without cheating.

Jumping from the clif:

----------------------

You can greatly shorten your way if you go strait from clif, but not around it. While
jumping (walking from the clif), press your hero to the wall (if walk forward is W,

than you have to press S) and when he lands, no life will be taken.

Runing in water:

----------------

While swiming, look at the map. When you turn off the map, your hero will not swim,

but run and it doesn't even matter how deep the water is.

Cheat: Helper to improve faction reputation and spawn items:

2. Press ` button to bring up the ingame console.

3. Input command "spawn sh". Without the quotation marks.

An ingame helper will appear. Talk to him and you are provided with options to

increase faction reputation and spawn items. Also allows you to move forward in

the main quests. All in the form of standard dialogue options.

4. To turn of marvin mode, type MARVIN very fast again.

Game will say "marvin mode deactivated"

5. When you're done with the Helper, you can kill him to get rid of him.

Running on ground of a lake:

----------------------------

Submitted by: CR2032

If you go to the lake near Silden you are able to run on the ground of the lake.

To do this you have to go to the smallest place on the map before the river begins

(right of the small rock, you can look at the village and the sunken castle).

You should come from the way from Geldern to Silden, and before going left or right

you easily walk straight to the lake(to this rock exactly), but you have to sprint a

few meters before "entering" the lake. If you make it at the right place you can walk

on the ground of this lake and see the castle and other destroyed houses.

After you entered the lake you don't have to sprint anymore and you don't have to

breathe.

must learn counterattack skill from Craig (Lvl 2 in sword).Place bet with Craig and

Cheat:

Submitted by: Jeff Romano

Type minsky to get to dev screen. Than proceed to type in "give It_Armor_Guard" for town

guard armor. Its the armor that the town guards in Harbor City are wearing.

Easy kill:

---------

Submitted by: adal

Email: adaledi@yahoo.com
Its seems difficult to beat lizardelite or lizardwarrior in battle when they are more

than one. you may use a trick - draw your bow & hit one of them. Then leave that place

(make sure they are following you) & reach in nearby area where man can be found.now it

will be a easy beating while they will help you to kill it.

Digging up buried treasure:

---------------------------

Hidden treasure chests are located in various places around the island. Some are buried in

burial plots or cemeteries while others are unmarked. They can be identified by a large

patch of light brown earth that doesn't quite match its surroundings.

With a shovel in inventory, position your hero on top of the area and click your mouse.

It will only work when no text is highlighted on screen (i.e. identifiers for herbs,

the grave or other items).

Some of buried chests form part of the Steelbeard treasure quest, but there are others.

* Swamp: Branon's dig site and Enrico's dig site

* Harbor Town: Turn to the right while standing in front of Commandant Carlos' fortress

(in an alcove with a skeleton)

* Tilda's Farm (Severin): Behind one of the buildings

* Monastery: A corner of the cemetery

* Eastern Temple: In an alcove found by dropping through the floor.

Cheat Entry for Crystals:

-------------------------

Submitted by: Badger

To gain the magic crystals without needing to find them enter the code:

give It_Crystal_*

Replace * with Frost, Fire, or Magic. Case sensitive.

Infinite Experience/Gold Glitch in Bandit Camp:

-----------------------------------------------

In the Bandit Camp, seek out Rhobart. He will ask you to get 10 reeds of Brugleweed.

Once you have at least 10, talk to him and give them to him. He will give you 70 gold

and 50 XP. After this, attack him until he is unconscious(do NOT kill him). Loot his

body and retrieve the Brugleweed you gave him. When he gets back up, talk to him again

and regive him the Brugleweed. You will get xp and gold over again, do this as much

as you want. Works better if you have more Brugleweed to give (in multiples of 10).

All Shields and Helms:

----------------------

Submitted by: DaManInSoCal

If you type:

give It_Shield and

give It_Helm

you will get all helms and shields to go with the armor you get with It_armor

Daylight robbery:

-----------------

Similar to the games in Gothic series, defeating a friendly non-player character

(NPC) will reward the player with experience (applicable only once per NPC) and

loot, if the fallen NPC has items and may be subject to looting.

The problem with attacking NPCs is that they and sometimes other NPCs in the

vicinity (not surprisingly) become hostile and attack the player. It is possible

to avoid them becoming hostile by exploiting a friend-foe algorithm in the game:

* Attack target NPC (once and only once)

* NPC will then raise his/her weapon but not attack the player

* Wait for the NPC to lower weapon (faster if the player also sheathes weapon)

* Repeat step 1-3 until NPC is felled

* Loot

Note: This exploit may not work on some Order NPCs, where attacking them only once may
provoke them to become hostile.

Jumping Moving:

---------------

Certain areas such as the swamp or being waist up in water by the beach will force

the player to move slowly. Apparently jumping while moving allows the player to move

significantly faster in these areas. It should also be noted that jumping is slightly

faster than running on solid ground, although jumping too often might slightly inflict

the player with motion sickness.

Jumping may only be done when the player is not doing another action, such as drinking

a potion, reloading a crossbow, aiming with a ranged weapon, etc.

Being robbed of experience when you level up:

---------------------------------------------

If adding the experience gained from your last action to your current total would

result in a new total that would be higher than the amount needed to level up, the

new total will in fact be equal to the amount needed to gain the next level, any

further experience gain being lost. Granted that you won't gain quite so many levels

and there aren't many moments when you'll gain large amounts of experience all at once,

but unless you're extremely careful the loss is still likely to add up to at least a

few thousand experience points by the end of the game... Which is why I said some

moderate use of the Rhobart "cheat" seems only fair.
