Build a GameBoy Color programming cartridge with

MBC5 chip and AM29F032B-90SD flash chip. 2008 by Reiner Ziegler

First, buy a cartridge with ROM+MBC5+RAM+BAT. For more details about MBC5 cartridges take a
look into http://www.reinerziegler.de/gbcmbc.txt.
I bought a Zelda cartridge with 32K RAM. With this large RAM you can play nearly all GBC games.
Second, buy the 29F032B-90SD flash chip from www.spoerle.com or from www.jameco.com.

Remove the ROM chip (MX23C8005) carefully

with a sharp cutter. 40-Pin TSOP 44-Pin SO

The tape is necessary to avoid any short
between the PCB pins and the flash chip.

MX23C8005

add new AM29F032B-90SD

flash memory chip

Connect the AM29F032B-90SD pins to the corresponding pins described inside the pin table for
ROM chips and FLASH chips.
Try not to cross to much wires over the flash chip, there is not enough place for doing that. Try to use
thin wires. I always use wrap wires for this kind of modifications.

You will need 3-4 hours for building this cartridge and a very thin soldering equipment.

Good luck
