The document provides information about hex nuts including their materials, finishes, and uses. It lists hex nuts of various thread sizes, materials (e.g. zinc plated, hot-dipped galvanized), and package quantities along with their part numbers and prices. Hot-dipped galvanized nuts must be used with other galvanized fasteners for proper fit. Nut widths and heights can be found in a table on another page.

Hex Nuts (Continued from previous page)
Use these hex nuts for general purpose fastening applications. Nuts with 1/40 screw size and larger are known as full or finished hex nuts. Nuts with screw sizes of 0000 to 12 are known as machine screw nuts. Thread fit is Class 2B, except brass nuts with a screw size smaller than 0 are not rated for thread fit. For nut widths and heights, see the table at the top of page 3207. Hot-dipped galvanized nuts must be used with other hot-dipped galvanized fasteners for a correct thread fit.
