RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Haiku Deck is a website that allows you to make presentations and store them all in one place. The presentations are referred to
as decks. You are also able to look up featured decks, which allow for you to look up presentations that people have already
made. They are also sorted into a variety of categories. The website is similar to google slides, where you can share the deck with
others or make it private. You can chose different backgrounds and slides to make the deck unique.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students presentation/speaking/communication skills?

This resource could be very good for me as a teacher. I can create a slideshow that is different than what students are use to
seeing. I can also make my entire account public, so all students can view the different decks for my classroom. I could
incorporate a project where students are required look up other decks, and provide their feedback. Students can also create
presentations (decks) when doing a group project. It could allow them to collaborate with other peoples decks and share ideas.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would rate Haiku Deck a 2 on the value-rating scale. I do believe this aligns to the content standards that I discussed in the
previous box. I do think this could enhance a lesson, because it could allow for students to create presentations on a new
platform that they havent seen before. I would say that this tool would be used by both myself and my students. It would be very
beneficial for me as a teacher, because I would be able to look at other teachers decks and share ideas. My students could also
use it that way. I dont think it would necessarily change the environment of the classroom completely, since it is very similar to
google slides. I think it would just be a unique way for myself and students to create presentations.
