    During the Routine site Inspection at fabrication shop it was observed that RTU Shelters in Drawing # XB-142870-001 had too many
    Arc Strikes & Spatters. This is a clear violation as per AWS D1.1, 5.28 and 12 - SAMSS-007 clause 7.6 a.

    ROOT CAUSE OF THE VIOLATION:
    Poor Workmanship of tack welder.

    CORRECTIVE ACTION:
    Arc strikes & spatters shall removed by grinding & PT will be carried out to assure there is no imperfections.

    PREVENTIVE ACTION:
    An Awarness session to be conducted for all the welders in Fabrication Shop.
