HYDRAULIC TRACK DRILL

R30C
HYDRA-TRAC ®
More reach. More Profit.
The industry-leading pattern-coverage capabilities of the new Terex® Reedrill R30C result in
significant cost and time savings for your drilling operation. With the new R30C’s ability to drill
three and even four holes per set-up before having to tram and reposition, operators can reach
drilling deadlines much faster. This translates into greater profit.

More reach is achieved thanks to the 5 foot (1,524 mm) boom. The boom and the swing radius
provides huge pattern-coverage, twice the coverage of other drills in the industry.

The R30C features many improvements for increased
comfort, convenience, and outstanding performance.
The industry’s only field serviceable Rock Drills.
The heart of any top-hammer machine is the rock drill, and the R30C is certainly no exception. The renowned Terex®
Reedrill HPR Series of rock drills are used in a multitude of applications. The simple design—with the fewest internal
parts of any drill in the industry—reduces internal wear and allows easy field service, resulting in optimum uptime and
increased revenue.

HPR Rock Drills have a simple design, fewer parts, and more performance.
Other benefits and features of the Terex® Reedrill HPR series rock drill are:

• A proven oscillator valve design

Simple and very efficient; requires no new training for a service technician familiar with
Terex® equipment

• Oversized energy storage accumulators

Protect the drill valve cycle from energy spiking, add to the longevity of the parts and are
a source of reusable energy during the percussion cycle

• Highly efficient energy transfer between hammer and striking bar

Avoids issues that arise when the diameter of the striking face of the hammer does not
match the face of the shank, which causes one or the other to prematurely wear or fail;
a mismatch also creates heat in the oscillator, reducing the life of major components

• Longer life as a result of major supporting bushings made

of high-strength alloy
The alloy has many of the same properties of heat-treated material, including high
surface strength that extends the life of standard metals and component life, therefore
reducing operating costs.

The new Terex® Reedrill R30C sports the HPR4519 (19kW output power) rock drill as standard, with the higher energy
HPR5123 (23kW output power) available as an option. Either drill accepts 45 mm or 51 mm drill steel.

Additional exterior and performance features

The new R30C offers a wealth of new benefits that make it stand out in a crowded field of track drills. Bragging rights
belong to the Terex Reedrill SmartDrill drilling system, which uses anti-jam, anti-plug and anti-plunge features to lengthen
drill-string life and has proven to increase overall production. The new R30C features a powerful Tier III C-9 engine.
From top to bottom, inside and out, the new Terex® Reedrill R30C has been designed to get you drilling fast—and to
keep you drilling longer.

Interior features

The innovative features of the new R30C continue inside

as well, starting with a large cab that’s operator-friendly.
Several enhancements that make it inviting to operators include:
• Comfortable operator’s seat and ample leg room that
promote productivity

• Armchair joystick controls allow for comfortable operation

throughout long shifts

• Excellent visibility enables fast set-up time, which

increases productivity

• ROPS/FOPS-certified cab
