FOREWORD
The Regulations for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) provide information
to prospective scholars about the Ph.D programmes in different branches of Engineering,
Technology and Science & Humanities at Sathyabama Institute of Science and
Technology (Deemed to be University), Chennai. In addition to the departments covering
the above mentioned areas, we also have a number of Centers of Research. Course
work tends to sharpen logical skills while research work emphasizes both intuitive and
logical skills. Indeed, it is the confirmation of intuition by logic that is a reliable route to
research and understanding.
