PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Ms. Hill will complete an accelerated dual-degree B.A. English / M.T. English Education program with the Curry School at the
University of Virginia in December 2018. She has completed more than 90 hours of practicum experience in Charlottesville City and
Albemarle County Public Schools and 190 direct teaching hours as a student teacher in Culpeper County. Ms. Hill is a classroom
leader who implements student-centered, collaborative instruction that prioritizes student development and meaningful engagement
with content. Ms. Hill is a dedicated employee with a strong work-ethic and commitment to the profession.
EDUCATION

● Assumed full responsibility for 54 students in general and honors 12th-grade English.

● This 65-day leadership course is offered through the Northwest Outward Bound School, a program that teaches students
various outdoor and communication skills through challenging wilderness expeditions.
● Learned to paddle, rock climb, belay, and properly utilize multiple types of outdoor equipment. I worked with one core group
of nine people throughout the semester and honed my communication and leadership skills.
