Characters of mold silicone rubber
RTV liquid silicone is tin type silicone, it is also call condensation-cure silicone, these are high-tear silicone
rubbers that are known as the “work horse” of the industry because of their performance and economy. Tin cured
silicone molds are used for casting wax, gypsum, polymer modified gypsum, etc. but are best known for standing
up to production casting of urethane, epoxy and polyester resins. They are also good for casting low temperature
melt metal alloys.

Use direction
BQ mould silicone rubber is RTV silicone rubber, it takes advantage of air moisture to cure, meanwhile
releases ethyl alcohol. So the relative humidity and temperature have big effect on the operation time and
vulcanizing time of the silicone rubber. BQ series are cured by platinum catalyst
Mould rubber for unsaturated polyester, polyurethane resin, gypsum and paraffin: BQ-Q7901, BQ-Q7900,
BQ-Q7902, BQ-Q7903, BQ-Q7904
Mould rubber for sand and concrete:BQ-Q7905,BQ-Q7906, BQ-Q7907, BQ-Q7908
Process can be cast pouring, envelope
Package
25kg per iron barrel, 24 barrel per pallet, net weight 25kg, hardener is packed in 1L plastic bottle, net weight
0.75kg. Package can be costom-made as per client’s request
Storage
1. Stored in cool, dry place, avoid long time storage. Transported as non-dangerous goods
2. Hardener had better to avoid contacting skin, if contact, clean contact part by fabric and then with foam and
water
3. Please take more attention to DSDS before using
Precautions
1. BQ series RTV silicone contains some filler which may sink to the bottom if long time storage. Please try your
best to fully mix before handling. Due to hydrolysis is easy to caused when the hardener contacts the air,
please close the bottle timely after using.
2. Since the curing speed of silicone will be affected by air temperature, please add different amount of hardener
from 1.5% to 3.0% according to the temperature, and in order to fully vulcanizing, room temperature of
silicone rubber should be kept at 20℃ to 30℃ when the temperature is low
3. Please avoid contacting with N, S, P and organic metal containing compounds while handling
