CURRICULAR ELEMENTS: ACTIVITIES: I. PRE-LESSON a) Teacher starts by eliciting pupils’ understanding on the word “Cheat”. b) Teacher plays a short game with the pupils by asking them to rearrange the story “Cheat!” in the correct order. c) Teacher randomly picks some pupils to express their understanding on the story, “Cheat!”. d) Teacher asks the pupils to provide some example of real life situations related to the story.
II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT
a) Next, teacher moves on by eliciting pupils’ understanding on the story by asking them to list all the characters in the story “Cheat!”. b) Teacher calls out some pupils to come forward and write down the characters on the whiteboard. c) Teacher elicits pupils’ knowledge by asking them to tell the characteristics of each character. d) Then, teacher divides the class into six groups. e) Teacher asks each group to discuss at least three character traits of the assigned character related and provide evidence from the story. f) Teacher provides fifteen minutes to them to complete the task. g) Then, teacher calls out each group to come and present their discussion to the class members. h) Teacher provides her feedback and asks the rest of the pupils to ask questions. FORM 2 III. POST-LESSON: a) Teacher sums up the presentation by asking some pupils to mention the characters and their character traits as to recall the lesson. b) Teacher concludes her lesson.
