PRESENTASI FISIKA KELOMPOK 1

1. Nama : Arfian Alwi F

NIM : 181910401003
Pertanyaan : Someone fires a bullet, and then the bullet falls at a certain
height (not on the ground). Is the mileage the same and how it affects the
maximum height?
Jawaban :

From the photo we can analyze that to find a fixed distance using the x
axis, and if the falling object is at a certain height, it does not affect how
the maximum maximum distance can be reached by the object.
Then how about the maximum height? the maximum height still occurs in
conditions Vy = 0, the fall of the object at the final position at a certain
height does not affect its maximum height.

Pertanyaan : The speed formula V = √ Vx2 +Vy 2 it’s only valid for the
highest point? Then, when the value of vx or vy is (-) does the formula not
apply?
Jawaban :
To further clarify, the formula V = √ Vx2 +Vy 2 is the formula for the
resultant speed on the y axis and x axis on the parabolic path and it is used
not only at the highest point, but also can calculate the total speed when
the object being thrown is at a certain time.
To find out how the concept of using the formula, let's look at the 2007
SPMB questions below :
A stone is thrown flat with speed initial 30 m / s from a bridge. Count
the total speed when the stone touches water at the base of the bridge 4
seconds later! (ignore air resistance)

To answer that question, we use ilustrations

Vx
Vy
V
The vx value will always be constant because acceleration ax = 0, and what
needs to be reviewed is the value of Vy where the value of vy, because it is
subjected to the acceleration of gravity.
Vy
ay =
t
m Vy
10 2 =
s 4s
m
Vy = 40
s
Because there are 2 components Vx and Vy. Then the total speed is the
resultant of the two components
V = √ Vx2 +Vy 2
m 2
40 ¿
s
m
V = 30 ¿ 2+ ¿
s
¿
√¿
V = 50 m/s

So from the question above, it can be concluded that in terms of concept,

the formula is not only used at the highest point. Then, the values of vx
and vy will not be negative in calculating the total speed, because in this
formula the values of vx and vy are squared.

Pertanyaan : The same of two buckets, perforated at different heights. how
is the speed comparison?
Jawaban :
To answer this question we assume 2 buckets that have holes at different
heights

CASE 1 CASE 2
A A

kkk
h3
h3
B
h1 h1
B

h2 h2

In this case there is a relationship that exists in the dynamic fluid,

precisely the toricelli theorem principle,
In the torricelli theorem, where the bucket is an open system. When
compared between the bucket hole A in the open system and the small hole
that leaked (B), then when compared it will be very different. Firstly, hole
A, which is much larger than B, so that the water level drops very slowly,
the drop in water level at point A is called the velocity of fluid flow at
point A, vA. Because it's very slow, vA = 0. Because points A and B before
water starts to come out in direct contact with air, pressure A and pressure
B are equal to atmospheric pressure, so the pressure difference in A and B
is zero. By knowing the difference in pressure, the height of each point A
and B and the speed at A to determine the velocity at B then the bernouli
law can be applied.
h3 = h1 – h2
V 22=2 gh 3

V 2=√ 2 gh 3

So, in cases 1 and 2, where in case 1 the distance between holes A

and B is more distant than in case 2, so it can be said that the speed in case
1 will be faster. Because velocity is directly proportional to the root height,
so the greater the height, the greater the velocity.
So, the conlusion the highest velocity will be achieved if the
distance of the bucket's surface with the hole gets farther away.
