July 2014 – May 2016: Residential Instructor, Hope Network’s Pivot Crisis Center
▪ Worked in a temporary residential home as part of a team that assisted clinical and medical personnel
in promoting the recovery and independence of adults experiencing an acute mental health crisis and
co-occurring issues with substance use and homelessness.
▪ Facilitated an environment of kindness and compassion by building rapport with residents, being a
listening ear for those who needed to talk, an advocate for their recovery and hope, and by treating
each and every resident with dignity and respect.
▪ Coordinated the arrival of new intakes with clinicians from referral agencies, gave clients tours of the
facility, and completed necessary intake assessments, consent forms, and other paperwork.
▪ Taught coping skills and activities of daily living through facilitating groups and recreational activities.
▪ Monitored and documented resident progress on goals, changes in symptoms, and participation in
aspects of treatment such as groups and medication compliance.
