My name is Suriansyah, 24 years old male, graduating from the Department of Nursing, Nursing Education Study Program,
Pontianak Nursing Institute of Muhammadiyah, Province of West Kalimantan, Indonesia with final GPA 3.87 out of 4.00.
Children are a gift coveted by each husband and wife, even a few couples are willing to make various efforts to obtain
children. However, in various cases, it turns out that there are still parents who commit acts of violence against their children.
My previous education was Nursing which examined anxiety levels. Researching my undergraduate thesis, I learned a lot
about the anxiety level of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. At present, I want to develop my abilities in the field of
psychiatric children because there are many cases that occur in Indonesia about child abuse.
Children who are actually still learning and have high curiosity are often considered children who are naughty and defiant.
Parents who do not have a good understanding of the child's development phase address this by giving physical and verbal
law to children in the hope that the child does not repeat his mistakes. In my next study at the Master of Science in Nursing at
the National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS), I would like to deepen my knowledge of the psyche
of children who experience child abuse, because children are trustworthy, cared for and educated by people old so that it
becomes the next generation of the nation that benefits others and prays for their parents. I humbly hope that the results of my
research will be able to minimize child abuse in Indonesia and Taiwan.
Taiwan is the country where I want to live. I have read more about Taiwan and I find that Taiwan is a multinational country,
many foreigners, many of the best universities, and that has greatly increased over time. This condition will be an advantage
for foreign students like me to learn a lot of new knowledge and gain a lot of experience. Studying in Taiwan will be a great
opportunity for everyone, including me, not only because of the scholarships offered but also because of the education system
itself. After searching for universities in Taiwan, I am sure that NTUNHS as one of the best universities in Taiwan will enable
me to realize all my expectations with its curriculum, especially in the field of nursing.
During my stay and study period in Taiwan, I also planned to improve my abilities in Chinese and enrich my knowledge of
Chinese culture. As for the length of time, I plan to complete the Master of Science in Nursing - NTUNHS degree in two years.
During these two years, I will make my best effort to complete my studies on time, without neglecting the quality of my research
and study.
