If language
wears faces, I would have you look deep into her eyes that you may see my innermost feelings of
how blessed I was and I am, or if the notion of feelings can be turned inside out like jacket you will
not ask any question but simply rejoice with me in Christ. I tried to hand-stitch all my thoughts and
experiences but couldn’t find enough word to pull them together. Anyway, we are here.
I went to the youth camp hoping for a glimpse- not of eyes but heart- of something never yet beheld,
so I followed the sermon to all her secret places, and she taught me that I can see my own
reflection only in the mirror of God. The sermons were wonderful. They have pick-pocketed my
heart which was filled with ignorance. An army of ‘Self-Examination’ shells my head throughout
the session and after. I can now confidently say that new thoughts have germinated in me as new
knowledge from the preachers fertilized my mind and perspectives.
The food was way too good. There is danger of licking one's own finger to the bone and still don’t
realize. If the same food is given to dry stick for one month, the stick will gain weight. Surprisingly,
all the cooks are healthy…and cute.
“My nine beautiful Gems of Joel group- I ensconce myself in your beautiful love and care, but I was
swiftly lifted out of that attitude by time... Alas!”
The camp officials were meticulous and efficient, and the prayer team was very dedicated. I have
also met many wonderful new people and made new friends. So many things to say though the
sentences are tattered and fragmented, but I leave my paw prints here- sometimes, some things
are best discussed with that intense gaze at each other’s eye over a dining table. God bless you
all!
I bring greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the
Evangelistic Youth Camp held at GCYM, Sovima. It reminded us to retrospect and discover
oneself from our renowned speakers like Rev. Dr. C Cho-o, Sir. Colo Mero, and Sir. Khrowutso
Letro.
The messages were very relevant with the present society as a youth and Christ’s soldiers in
general. It is really encouraging to see many young people being so enthusiastic to serve the Lord.
This youth camp is so special spending time together with the youths, feeding ourselves with the
word of God and showing God's love in a practical way by providing activities and experience that
campers will remember for years to come. It was a thrilling moment spending time with the nicest,
funniest and most fun people I've ever met. Creating unforgettable memories with beautiful people
in a quiet and beautiful place in a welcoming environment is the highlight of the year.

It was a wonderful three days of my life. I feel not only blessed but amazed at how marvelous and
wonderful our God has always been.
I have learnt a lot of valuable things, one of which was "Finding Me". For my entire life, I thought I
knew who I was and what my purpose was but that was not true. During Dr. C. Cho's session, my
perspective towards life was completely changed. It is always beyond our measure to know
ourselves very well if we don't seek the help of our Lord. My dreams and my goals do not
determine my life's purpose. It all starts with God. We discover ourselves in God alone. I can
undoubtedly say that I rediscovered myself that day. The lists will go on and on.
But apart from that, I got the opportunity to meet the wonderful family of God. Through the
personal conversations that we had together has made me realize how marvelous our God is. His
Love is beyond compare. The blessings that I received from their testimonies and sharing will
continue to inspire me and motivate me all the days of my life.
My dear brothers and sisters, it is a great privilege for giving me a chance to note down in this Youth
Epistle.
Attending 'Youth Evangelistic Camp' was one of the best experiences ever. It has given me a great
opportunity to become a better person and draw closer to God. Those three days at camp was
amazing as everyone I met were so good and friendly. The games which we played were really
interesting and also the way we competed with each other for points was hilarious. Besides all these, I
want to also say that, I'm more than happy ever for the wonderful surprise that has been bestowed on
me. It was an honor for me to have received the 'Best Female Camper' award. I was not really
expecting it to be me when Sir. Akho announced the name as 'Miss. Therie'. I thought it must be
someone else. But surprisingly it happened to be me. I was overjoyed and couldn't stop smiling. I thank
the Youth Department, CBCD for giving me the title 'Best Female Camper' which I will hold it forever. I
also thank the department for giving us (crossroads students) a chance to attend this youth camp. We
are all really blessed to be a part of the camp. You all have been so caring and loving elders. Thank
you all so much.
Being a part of the camp had really been a very good experience and a spiritual feeding for me.
I had learnt alot from it. Every activity has been a lot of fun and a blessing to me. All the speakers
were really great. It taught me alot and also reminded me the purpose of our life and how a person
should be as a believer of Christ. I am really honored and blessed to have taken part of this
evangelistic youth camp as I also got to know many new friends. Being a youth, we draw apart from
God, but through program such as this we are able to find our path back to God. I'm really grateful
to the youth office bearers and the church members for making this program. May God bless each
and everyone. Thank you.

Generation Countdown Youth Ministry, the name itself touched me...The place, the environment, so
quiet to praise God. The dorms, so standard! Remembering our old hostel days and what we called up
stair-downstairs bed. Not forgetting our camp officials and the cooks led by our brother Wekhro Lomi
who can be a chef in a famous hotel, filling our tummy with the best food! Aha!
My friends Sir. Colo and Sir. C. Cho, I highly appreciate them for bringing the word of God and
enthralling the youth as said by Sir. Colo, "No job is bigger than the other" and what Dr. Cho said, "God
draws you closer to himself, God grieves with you". The praise team led by Veseta (a man with
humorous mind) touched every camper by his team through God's given songs.
At the end of the night, I thought there was World War 3 in our dorm. The blasting of grenades and
atom bomb. By God's grace no one was injured. Last but not the least, Mr. Tepe, I appreciate you for
likewise and therefore.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21
Thank you.

Psalms 139:14 says, “I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
The three days journey of our youth camp at Sovima, GCYM has molded me so much especially in
Re-discovering the purpose of my life.
We all live with a goal in our life.
I was overwhelmed when Sis Colo Mero reminded us all to 'Remember our Goal'.
"No matter what you do, no matter how skillful you are, remember that your goal is to serve God."
Thank you CBCD Youth Department for organizing a wonderful camp as this.
And, Thank you Sir Cho for helping me in finding myself towards purity and integrity.
Thank you Sis Colo for reminding us all that it all starts with God and it's all about God.
Thank you Sir Atso for making us aware to be in constant conversation with God in our daily life
basis.
It's amazing to be discovered.
I am Blessed.

Throughout my life, I have always loved camping. There is always something new to learn by being
with the Seekers and Christians. These 3 days Youth Evangelistic Camp was indeed a memorable
and a blessed time to me. I had that birthright of participating in God's moment and getting to know
more people. Through all of my camp this had been the best among all.

My camp experience was most unexpected; honestly I thought it wouldn't be that much fun. But my
whole expectations were turned upside down when I started having so much fun without realizing it. I
was literally enjoying the time of my life. I also got to know many people and made lots of friends. The
most interesting thing about camping was the Praise and Worship team which was so lively. I also took
part in games which left my thighs dysfunctional for a while. The messages given by different speakers
were clear and very relevant. It made me learn many new things and drew me closer to God. In any
case it was a blessed moment for me and I am so very glad I attended the camp.

My first youth camp was indeed a blessed one.
Firstly, the speakers were so realistic and optimist, I learnt a lot from them and now I've decided to
polish my skills and do something productive.
Secondly, I now know the value of water.
Last but not the least; I thank all the camp organizers and officials. Looking forward to attend more
camps in the future.

It was an amazing experience indeed! Getting to know and spending time with the amazing
family of God was priceless and all the blessings that I got would be highlighted as the best chapter
in my life!
The Youth Evangelistic Camp, 2019, organized by the Chakhesang Baptist Church Dimapur,
with the theme, 'Who Am I?', was indeed an unforgettable experience, where, I believe not only me,
but everyone who attended the camp are all greatly blessed.
In a time, where my faith was becoming lukewarm and my light dimming, the camp has lifted my
face and opened my eyes! My lack of confidence was an obstacle which always pulls me down
from rising for God.
I found myself so out of the way, just from the introductory session itself, Dr. C. Cho's speech
directly pierced into my heart, as I began to realize how I am becoming 'not who I am supposed to
be!’ I learnt that I can discover myself and know who I really am and my purpose through God and
for God alone!
I have plans and to execute them is not as easy as opening the sweet covers. I have
contradictory opinions and oppositions. But fortunately, Sir Colo Mero shared on how God has
given us many ways to stand on our own feet. He encourages the youth to break the typical beliefs
of depending on only one source to find our status! He himself is the example of what he says one
should be, being a man of God himself. He also said that we can serve God in whatever work we
do! The Church should stand out from its confinement and reach out to the problems and
corruptions that are prevailing in our society; we should do what we love in order to be more
productive and honest - we should do what we love and what God has for us.
"There is sunshine after every rain". Dr. C. Cho's testimonial speech which also include the
'peaceful anxiety'- A wonderful man of God indeed! He can really lift and encourage the trampled
hearts. I face many problems and he tells us how to overcome the problem and fears by putting our
faith in God! It is a hard thing to do, but everything will be okay, if God is with us. Happiness will
follow after the period of sufferings. Have faith in God and you'll always find the light, in Jesus
name!
I also learnt that I should be able to control my senses in order to live for God.
I personally realized that if I didn't come here for a purpose, I was brought for a purpose
because I really had a blessed time.
Apart from all those wonderful blessings, I had a great time with the best people including the
funny games and having great fun every moment with the most jolly and wonderful people. They
made a really great company from the start till the end. I would wish the camp to last for a week, or
even a month! But sadly, it’s impossible... If we can be changed in such a short period, how many
people would turn to God, if God's people keep working on faithfully every day!
My favorite Bible verse:
1 Timothy 4:12: "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example
for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."
God bless you all!

This was probably my first unplanned trip of the evangelistic camp held by the Department of Youth
of our church and I cannot even believe how it ended the way it ended. The reason I am saying this is
because I am overwhelmed by the outcome of it and thankful for all things that have happened in this
short stay.
I was hesitant on going to the camp at first because of the stigma that only during special occasions,
the church is filled and even extra members come while on the other days the seats are empty. We
tend to judge people who we have never seen in our lives attending the church services but only during
good gatherings we find them there. I never expected myself to be joining the camp nor was aware of
it happening since I have not been able to attend my youth services for a really long time and now the
old faces, I once knew, were the only ones who could remember me. The new ones became the old
and I felt like I was a new comer to the church instead.
The other reason for me stating at how I could not believe how it ended earlier is that I had fallen ill and
had to return to Dimapur soon. I felt so blessed by this, but wait, you must be wondering why on earth
I could feel so blessed because I was sick? Nobody in the right state of mind would say that, but well to
be honest, I didn’t realiseit until I attended the camp service. There in the camp, it struck to me that in
my sickness of the physical pain, I had become more enriched and blessed in the spiritual aspect of
my life and not forgetting the food there was also amazing so I guess my body did enjoy the servings
and am thankful to the cooks for that. Coming to the point here of why we judge people who are special
occasion church-goers is that, before we criticize and think out loud in our minds, we need to think as
‘what if that was God’s plan for them and He brought them there at the right time’ maybe we need to
question this and remind ourselves every time we see someone who rarely visits the church come on
such grand events. I am saying this because I have experienced the same. You may call it coincidence
or God’s plan but I believe I was sentat the right time to attend the camp and be even more blessed.
Had I not fallen ill, I would have never made it to the camp and would have not known anything and
missed out a great opportunity so at the end of the day, my sickness became my blessing! And I am
ever grateful to that.

Greetings to you all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! I would like to take this opportunity to
share my experience and what I learned from the camp. When I first heard about this evangelistic
camp, I had second thoughts about joining. But deep in my heart I felt the urge that I need to go
because there was a lot of things in my life that wasn’t going as planned and I was very much
confused of what I wanted to do and I needed that spiritual guidance. During the camp, I learnt a lot
from the speakers and campers who shared their difficulties, struggles and losses and how God
has always helped them and provided them comfort and victory, and I am forever indebted to those
people. Mathew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other.”
We can either love our God or love the things of this world which is only temporary. My message to
you believers is that in whatever profession you pursue, use that to serve, honour and bring glory to
our almighty God. I truly believe that is our main mission. Each one of us is unique so not everyone
will become doctors, engineers, lawyers…but God has a master plan for each one of us. A plan that is
much better and fulfilling. Obey and abide His will and he will take you to new opportunities and
higher level of Victory. Keep fighting the good fight. God bless you.

“How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity.” Psalm 133:1
Words cannot describe how blessed I was. It was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life
and definitely worth it. I gained new friends. I am also very thankful for the experiences and for
the opportunity to grow in any areas. From scrubbing in the shower to leadership and maturing
spiritually; it was fun and refreshing to see God at work. It made me feel like we were already
family while we were away from our own. I saw love everywhere while we were there. I could
see God at work amongst us. With fears and anxieties that seek to control us, the camp
experience was a gift to concentrate along with the other youths where the kingdom of God
becomes real. I really had a good time learning the purpose of my life. I have learned to be
more responsible than I was before. Spiritual feeding was the best part of camp and not
forgetting the other activities. This evangelistic youth camp drew me closer to God and helped
me to know "who am I". It was the most memorable days of my life. May we follow God’s lead
and boldly jump into a pool of transformation where lives can be changed forever.
