MINING TRANSPORT
MINING MONORAIL LOCOMOTIVE IMM 100.01 TD
SUSPENDED MONORAIL LOCOMOTIVE IMM 100.01 TD is a traction transport designed for transporting a
train set on the suspended monorail track of the I profile (I155) of approved type within the horizontal and ver-
tical inclinations of 25°. IMM 100.01 TD Locomotive has been designed as a combination of the folowing com-
ponents: the engine part, two single cabins and furhter separate drive units coupled by rods. The locomotive
is powered by a supercharged diesel engine with special modifications to provide extremely low levels of pol-
lutants in the flue gas. Exhaust fumes produced by the engine pass through a water filter in the exhaust cabi-
net, which cools the exhaust fumes and absorbes unwanted particles. The locomotive has a hydrostatic power
transmission. The hydraulic motors of the drive units are controlled by hydraulic generator drives . The drive
unit is equipped with one or two pairs (DUO drive) of drive wheels. The drive unit with one pair of wheels has
a built-in hydraulically operated brake. This brake is also a part of one or both of the cabins. The use of various
combinations of drive units provides a traction force of 60 kN, 80 kN or 100 kN. All assemblies and parts of the
locomotive have been designed to meet each and every safety requirement for the use in potentially explosive
atmospheres according to the ČSN EN 1834-2 / Group I, category M2.

MATERIAL TRANSPORTATION
Transporting material is treated according to weight and size, materials which are heavy and/or bulky are
transported by the hydraulic lift system powered by the locomotive (4, 8, 16 tons) depending on the maximum
allowable weight per support. Beams can be elevated and transported using the chain hoist system, unloading
is performed by releasing the chain. Bulk materials such as sand or cement can be transported using specially
designed containers.

Hydraulic lifters
The lifters allowing powered lifting and lowering of transportable materials with the controls located between
the locomotive and the lift. The control system allows lifting and lowering of the chains independently. The
most effective way to use this equipment is to deliver the support framing to the mining area as the mining
process is in operation this allows the building of a 400 meter shaft in three weeks which formerly required six
months.
