SUBJECT 2019 ASMPH Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises
The Commencement Exercises of the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPID win be held on
Sunday, 11 AUGUST 2019 at the Meralco Theatre, Ortigas Avenue comer Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.
Baccalaureate Mass - 3:OQpm
Processioml - 4:30pm
This communication gives initial instructions and other information to guide au students, parents and guests
for the Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises.
I. PRE-GRADUATION
a. Invitation/Guest cards -A graduaton packet will be distnbuted by the office of the Redstrar
to the candidates for g[aduanon on 5 August 2019. Ihie to space limtations, candidates for
graduation may invite only four (4) guests to the Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement
Exercises.

b. Graduation Rehearsal - There will be only ONE rehearsal for the event. All graduates are
REOUIRED to attend the rehearsal on 10 AUGUST 2019, 9:00aln-n:00rm at the Meralco
Theatre. Candidates for grnduation who fuled to attend the rehearsal will NOT be allowed to
nnd on 11 August 2019.
c. Toga/Academic Goum for candidates for graduation - The ASMPII togas are the propertrty
of the University and will be available for gradriation.
Rental Fee of Php 2,700.00 per student payable to the ASMPH Cashier on or befot\e 31 ]UIY
2019. Cashier Schedule: Mondays & Wechesdays, 12::00m-5:OQpm.
Distrfution of togas will be on 5 AUGUST 2019, 5unpM-7:00PM at the ASMPH (Cafeteria).

Male: Long-sleeved bafbng or plain, light colored polo shirt; clack trousers, black shoes
Fenlale: Licht colored dress, black heded shoes
2. Place and time ofassemblv

a. Baccahaureate Mass -Please be seated in Meralco Theater by 2:30pm Administrators
and faculty will wear that academic gown with the hood but without the cap. Gnduates
will be wearing their toga `while holding their hood and cap. Graduates, faculty and
guests will be seated in the designated areas.
b. Processional -Meralco Theater. Students and faculty will be requested to proceed to
the Meralco Theater Lobby immediately after the Mass.

3. Academic cans and hoods

The Adminstrators and faculty will put on that caps with the tassel on the right side.
Candidates for graduation will wear their caps with the tassel on the left side and continue
to carry their hood folded over their richt arm
4. Eintrv into the Meralco comoound

All graduates and guests should enter the Meralco Compound throuch its Man Gate
(fronting MC Home Depot). Please present the invhation to the gunds at the entrance gates.
5. Caroarhip

section will be reserved for the VIPs, Stage Party and the Guest Speaker.
6. Parents/Guests of Graduntes
There are two a reserved seats for a graduate's parents/family nrembers in the RIght
Orchestra. These are idendfied with the graduate's last name indicated on the chain There
are additional seats in the balcony for other guests.
7. Official photormoher and picture-takino bv Guests

Ody OFFIclri-PHoroGRAPHERS- (identified by event IDs) of the school ae allowed
to take pictures during the ceremomes. Guests are fequested to rerfun from leavirig thereir
seats to take pictures. There will be ample ire for picture-taking after the ceremonies.
DWBPhotQgraphyhasbeencommissionedastheofficialphotographerfortheevent.Theeyyey
will be chardrng Php500.00 per student. This includes 5 pieces 5R size photos of various
shots. Representatives of the DWB Photography will be present during the rehearsal on
10 August 2019 to collect payments from those who are interested in availing of theirir
graduation photo packages.
Graduates are encounged to amve at the Meralco Theater early to have time for picture
taking before the Baccalaureate Mass.
8. Entrv and re-entry of piiests into Meralco Theater

Access to de theaue i; through doofs located at the lobby. Entry is throuch the two center
doors and exit is through the side door. Guests should bring their guest cards if they need
to go out of the Theatre and present these catds to the ushers/usherettes upon re-entry.
9. Cdlular Dhones and other mob]ife devices

Everyone is reminded to please turn off or put on silent mode all cell phones and other
mobile devIces so as not to dist`irb the solemnity of the event.

a. Retun of togas
After the recessional of the Commencement Exercises, rented togas should be returned to
the assigned staff at the desigrmted collection point at the Meralco Theate[ I.obby.
Graduates who do not return their togas will not be given clearance of any documents to be
issued by the Realstmr. Loss of toga will mean paying an additional Php5, 300.00 to cover
the total cost of the toga.
b. Release of Diploma
The official MD and MBA diplomas will be released at the ASMPH Registrar Office
according to the following schedule:
August 12-16, 2019 Q4onday-Friday)

9:00am-12nn, 1:00-5:00pm
Ihplomas win not be released to graduates who haven't returned the toga they have rented
for the commencement exercises. Storage fee of Php 500.00 will apply to unclained diplomas
thereafter.
