II. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

1. Introduction
Unemployment is the worst problem our country is facing for several years
up until present. Among all country in Asia, Philippines still has the worst unem-
ployment rate despite to its increase in GDI (Gross Development Income). These
results are consistent with growing number of discouraged workers in which ef-
fect lowers unemployment figures. Lots of job caravan are being done to help re-
duce unemployment anyhow. As the study goes, it is still the worst problem our
country has. This study aim to know the unemployment situation in our country

Unemployment Rate in Philippines is expected to be 5.70 percent in 12

months according to Trading Economics Global Macro Models and analysts ex-
pectations. Citing the latest labor force survey data was last done on January 10,
2017 with the percentage of 5.7. Lots of surveys and research are conducted to
find out the current unemployment situation of our country. Most of them shows
different results but concluded as one; the country's unemployment rate declines
on how many percent but still on its highest peak. This are being measured as
the number of people actively looking for a job as a percentage of the labour
force. Therefore this issue is not yet resolved inspite of the left and rights job of-
ferings.

One of the factors that affect the economic system of our country is our
unemployment rate. High Unemployment rate of our country plays a great role in
our economic status. The moment the economic status ranges in its maximum
level, a lot of jobs will be offered. According to Stephen Simpson; labor is a driv-
ing force in every economy. Wages paid for labor fuel consumer spending and
the output of labor is essential for companies. Likewise, unemployed workers
represent wasted potential production within an economy.

There are lots of remedies to lessen unemployment here in our country.

The need of improvements in the education and training provided to the youths
with a greater focus on vocational skills and self-employment. Promoting educa-
tion especially female education and motivating people to have small families.
Enhanced focus on entrepreneurial, communication, and inter-personnel skill de-
velopment Integrated counselling, evaluation, and career guidance initiatives.
The Government support to struggling industries is necessary to try to save jobs.

2. Methodology/ Materials and Methods

This study uses quantitative method for research. It emphasizes objective

measurements such as statistical and numerical analysis were gathered through
polls of surveys and questionnaires. This study has focus on the unemployment
growth rate of the Philippines.

3. Results

Up until present this situation is one of the most common problems in our
society most likely in our country and based on our research and by the help of
our different resources. The common results why unemployed people are still the
larger pull of labour. Unemployment creates a large pull of labour which gives
firm more choices of who to employ. This allows them to accept workers with a
higher skills and more experience. The people who are unemployed will suffer a
loss of income and it can affects on their lives. As a result, they will be able to
buy fewer goods and services and will see a fall in their standard living and a loss
of confidence/depression..

4. Discussion

Unemployment is a phenomenon that occurs when a person who is ac-

tively searching for employment is unable to find work. Unemployment is often
used as a measure of the health of the economy. The most frequently measure
of unemployment is the unemployment rate, which is the number of unemployed
people divided by the number of people in the labor force.
