blocks masonry with 100 mm thick AAC blocks in
super structure above plinth level up to floor V
level in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse
sand ). The rate includes providing and placing
in position 2 Nos 6 mm dia M.S. bars at every
third course of masonry work. cum 6386.95
• Technical Specification of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete Blocks:-
• Proving and fixing Aerated Autoclaved Concrete Blocks masonry, AAC Block is to be
conforming to IS 2185 (Part 3) -1984. The nominal dimensions should be 625mm x
200/240/250 mm x 150/200/225mm. The compressive strength should be as per
Table 1 of IS code 2185 (Part 3) -1984 and minimum of Grade 1 with compressive
strength of 4 N/sq mm with density ranges from 550 to 650 Kg/cubic meter in oven
dried condition. The comprehensive strength shall be tested after due oven drying
for 48 hours and shall be tested on 200 KN UTM machine with digital display. The
sample shall be prepared as per and compressive strength shall be determined as
per IS :6441 ( Part 5) – 1972 and block density to be determined as per IS :6441 (
Part 1) – 1972. The AAC blocks should baked at 200 degree centigrade at 12 bar
pressure for at least 12 hours before dispatch. The manufacturer shall give
documentary proof about same. There shall be a fibre-mesh laid at every alternate
course of masonry with 1mm mesh size. For 115 mm thick masonry, two 6mm
steel bars shall be laid at every alternate course. The samples need to be in perfect
90 degree perpendicular for all six surfaces.
• These AAC blocks are to be affixed with ready made mortar adhesive with split strength of 0.4
N/ Sq mm and compressive strength of 18 N/ sq mm with 3mm thickness.
• Tolerance of dimensions shall be +_5mm as per in length and +-2mm in other two dimensions.
• Bands of repute:- JK Laxmi “Smart Blox”, Ashtech “ModCrete Blox”, HIL “Aerocon”, Siporex,
Ashwani “Ascolite”. ModBond, MKY LatiCrete for Adhesive
