Section A – Christianity
1 (a) (i) State four Christian beliefs expressed in the Apostles’ Creed. [4]

(c) ‘The New Testament is the most important part of the Bible for Christians.’

6 The Seder (which means order) is a special ceremony held in the Jewish home at Pesach
(Passover). It is based on the instruction in the Torah that parents should tell their children
about God’s deliverance of the Israelites and their escape from slavery in Egypt.
(a) (i) Describe what is done in the house before Pesach begins. [2]
(b) Explain the meaning of the symbolic food and wine used at Pesach. [7]
(c) ‘Festivals are the best way for Jews to learn about their religion.’
