    Sub: Modified procedure for permission for Pre-Submission Seminar of Ph.D.


    candidates.

    In partial modification to the procedure for RTF clearance for Pre-submission


    seminar of Ph.D. candidates, the Examination Board in its meeting held on
    16/01/2019 decided that the Ph.D. candidates will be required to submit the duly
    filled in “Format for Pre-Submission Thesis Assessment By Doctoral Scrutiny
    Committee” through his/her Supervisors(s). The form should be submitted before the
    Doctoral Scrutiny Committee for getting recommendation for permission to present
    Pre-submission seminar. The DSC may recommend the eligible cases to Dean
    (Academic) for approval. Once the approval is accorded by the Dean (Academic) the
    candidate will present the Pre-submission seminar with prior notice of at least one
    week. The form is attached at Annexure-A.

    The “Format for Report of Doctoral Scrutiny Committee of Pre-Submission Seminar


    by Ph.D. Scholars” has also been modified. This form will be required to be
    submitted after Pre-submission seminar duly recommended by the DSC with all
    relevant documents to the Academic & Examination Section. The modified format is
    attached at Annexure-B.

    The modified procedure will abolish the existing practice of RTF clearance for
    allowing Pre-submission seminar of Ph.D. candidates.
