    It has recently been suggested that the classical or dead language latin and Greek

    should be reintroduced into the school curriculum. Those that oppose idea claim
    that the ancient languages are of no practical use and no help in getting a job.
    Those in favor of the idea say that the education is more about training the mind
    rather than preparing for a career.

    Essay

    There are a variety of historic languages outnumbered with the passage of time.
    However, it has been advised to incorporate some of them again in syllabus, as
    the motive of learning a new language is to enhance mental skills. On the other
    hand, most people rebuff this idea because of the least practical significance
    associated with them. Attaining the knowledge of an outdated linguistic which is
    no more in use of this contemporary world will act as a burden over students, and
    they will not conceive any practical benefit against their effort.

    In today’s world, every course which students learn should provide a considerable
    outcome to them, as it requires massive consumption of time and effort to learn
    them; same is the case with learning an additional language. If a language is being
    outnumbered, its learning acts nothing but a formality to pass exam without any
    application and fruitful result.

    Secondly, ancient languages will not help a person to communicate worldwide in


    order to exchange knowledge or to do business. Even though historical linguistics
    contains a depth of knowledge of previous era, but the absence of their literature
    has made them of least priority to learn. Hence, any individual will find it hard to
    make the most after giving time to them.

    In conclusion, despite investing enough amount of time and working hard to


    obtain command on old languages, it remains an extra weight over students with
    no promising outcome and no substantial importance.
