The sensor box cover and securing bolts are removed, along with the sensor control unit bolts and harness connections.     1  Removal of the 2V2/2HH Soot Sensor


    Remove as follows:
    Show/Hide Checkboxes
    1. Shut off the engine, apply the parking brake and chock the wheels.
    2. Remove the bolt (1) securing the sensor box cover (2).

    3. Remove the two bolts (1) that secure the soot Sensor Control Unit (SCU) (2) to the sensor box.
    4. Disconnect the SCU from the aftertreatment harness (3).
    5. Remove the sensor harness pass through and cut the zip-tie to free the SCU from the sensor box.
    Note: Do NOT cut the soot sensor wiring harness to remove the sensor; use slotted soot sensor
    socket W963589010903.
    6. Using the soot sensor socket, unscrew the sensor probe (2), remove the sensor and SCU (1)
    from the aftertreatment device.
