I. TITLE : “Kalinisa’y Panatilihin, Edukasyon ay Yakapin”
- Search for Cleanest Classroom
- Search for Cleanest Ground Assignment

V. RATIONALE :

The Larap National High School students and teachers advocate a love of nature and environment
and to prove the famous saying “Cleanliness is Next to Godliness”. These concerns challenge the SSG
Officers and Homeroom Class Presidents to hold a school based search for the Cleanest Classroom and
Cleanest Ground Assignment which transpire the project entitled Kalinisa’y Panatilihin, Edukasyon ay
Yakapin”. This project aims to inculcate sense of responsibility among students in maintaining the
cleanliness and orderliness of their classrooms as well as the school to create a happy and sound
learning. Further, we believe that through this activity, our students will help to develop their attitude
to care and love our nature by planting more trees, plants and vegetables. In this light, the proponents
of this program, conceptualized a Project Kalinisa’y Panatilihin, Edukasyon ay Yakapin that will
commence on July 15, 2017 – March 30, 2017 at Larap National High School.

OBJECTIVES

This activity aims to:

1. Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the classrooms.


2. Cultivate student’s attitude towards caring and nature lover.
3. Develop sense of responsibility and nurture love for work and perseverance.
4. Develop camaraderie and sense of responsibility among students and teachers, parents and
community.

VI. METHODOLOGIES

1. All classroom are subjected to join the contest.


2. The contest period is from July 15, 2017 – March 30, 2018
3. Evaluation of classrooms will take place at 7:15-7:30 in the morning and 4:30 in the afternoon.
4. Monthly evaluation for the cleanest classroom and cleanest ground assignment will be done.
5. Observation and evaluation shall be done to give merit and demerit based from the checklist
provided.
a. 5 points for merits = green apple
b. -5 points for demerits = red apple
6. The total scores will be added monthly, and the section who garnered the highest point from
July 2017 to March 2018 will be declared as the champion for cleanest classroom and cleanest
ground assignment.
7. Monthly winners will be announced after flag ceremony.
8. The winning classroom will receive a tarpaulin bearing with the tag “ Cleanest Classroom” and
“Cleanest Ground Assignment”
9. The Evaluators are the SSG Officers and Class Presidents.
10. Winners will receive trophy and certificate of recognition.
11. Decision of evaluation team is final and non-appealable.
12. Criteria in each contest are as follows”

Criteria for Judging according to the checklist – Search for Cleanest Classroom and Cleanest
Ground Assignment
 presence of eco bottle for waste management
 Littering of plastics (any kind) inside/outside the classroom
 Presence of crumpled paper (inside/outside the classroom
 Dirty Comfort Room including unpleasant smell
 Vegetable garden (Gulayan Sa Paaralan)
 Cleaned window
 Cleaned floor
 Brooms and other cleaning materials are properly stored
 Maintained the cleanliness of the ground assignment

XI. EVALUATION
This project will be evaluated through an action research on the impact of the project in maintaining
cleanliness and orderliness of the school and identify the perception of students in valuing nature and
environment.
