Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And Management
(IITRAM) established by the Government of Gujarat as an
Autonomous University is instrumental in bringing about a

 ADMINISTRATION
l Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research And
Management (IITRAM), situated in the throbbing city of
Ahmedabad in Maninagar area, is established as a
University under Gujarat State Legislature Act no. 5 of 2013.

l IITRAM is governed by the Board of Governors (BoG). BoG

comprises of Chairman, Director General, three ex-officio
Secretary from Government of Gujarat, two academicians,
One VC or ex-VC and three experts from different areas.

l The Academic Council is the principal academic body of the

University. It consists of the Director General (Chairman of
the council), three academicians, two directors, two Deans
and Faculties of University school.

l The Finance Committee consists of the Chairman, one

member of BoG, Director General, Secretory of Gujarat
Finance Department, ex-officio, and one expert in the field of
finance nominated by BoG.

l Registrar is the Secretary of the BoG, the Academic Council

as well as the Finance Committee.

MECHANICAL WORKSHOP
The Mechanical Engineering Workshop at IITRAM consists of Fitting Shop,
Carpentry shop, Welding shop, Machine shop and CNC shop. In
addition to housing many conventional machines and equipment, it also
has most modern fabrication units in tune with the recent technological
developments. Some of these include TIG and MIG welding machines,
Tool and Cutter Grinding Machine, CNC Turning and VMC etc.

The Library Resource Center (LRC) provides vital support for teaching,
learning, and research activities of the Institute using the state-of-the-art
library and information services. The LRC is rapidly developing its
collection of books, reference books, periodicals, and electronic
resources. Library Resource Center is fully automated with SOUL 2.0
Integrated Library Management Software and also integrated RFID
Technology, Smart Card, Auto Check in and Check out systems.

Last year the students were placed for their internship at L&T, Bakery City,
AMC, IFFCO, Torrent, Parishkar etc. to get hands on training and
experience of working at the field.

STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENTS
l Parth Modi, student of Civil Engineering Department presented a
Poster based on Hydrology under the project title “Climate Change
and Precipitation Extremes over India in 21st Century” at the AGU
Conference in San Francisco, California, USA in December, 2014.
l Ravi Prajapati, student of Electrical Engineering Department was
selected for the Indian Science Congress by NCERT for representing
Gujarat at Mumbai. His project is on Air Propulsion and Ion Propulsion
Technology.
l Many students of IITRAM have completed MOOCs Courses on edx
