Every person has human rights because they are natural born human beings.

They should be
provided human rights without any discrimination of race, cast and color. Article 71of the UN
Charter states that the Economic and Social Council must make suitable arrangements for
consultations with NGOswhich are concerned with matters within its competence.Human rights
are part of international law contained in declarations and treaties that tells specific rights that
countries are required to uphold. There are some NGOs that are organized around specific issues
like Human Rights. NGOs protect human rights in number of ways. (slideshare.net, n.d)

1. CARE(Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere)

CARE foundation plays an important role in women empowerment and gender equality
in developed countries. Its aim is to make the world free of poverty.

2. World Vision

They work for building relationships. They are planning and making strategies for
improving and developing the future of the kids and next generation.

3. Oxfam International

'Oxfam' comes from the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief. Women can make the
world better by representing themselves as a leader in politics,
Economics as well as in family and social matters.Oxfam works for the benefit and
wellbeing of women.

4. Amnesty International

It is a campaign from number of people around the world to promote human rights for all.
There are 2.2 million members and subscribers from more than 150 countries, they work
to stop and generate new ideas to stop abuses of human rights and give justice to those
people whose rights are violated.

5. Human Rights Without Frontiers

HRWF works to promote democracy at national and international level and focuses on
research and monitoring in the field of human rights.

6. Avocats Sans Frontières

ASF is an international NGO which was created in 1992 by Belgian lawyers. It works for
human rights. Its objective is to highlight the institutions that work to facilitate a fair
justice system for giving legal security andand protection of human rights.

7. Cultural Survival

Cultural Survival (founded 1972) is a nonprofit group based in Cambridge,


Massachusetts, the US, which is dedicated to defending the human rights of indigenous
peoples.

8. Master Card Foundation

All people, no matter their starting point in life, should have an equal chance to succeed.
They believe that with access to education and skills training, people can have that
chance.

9. Cuso International

A development organization that works to reduce poverty and inequality through the
efforts of highly skilled volunteers, collaborative partnerships and compassionate donors.

10. Center for Economic and Social Rights

The Center for Economic and Social Rights (CESR) is an international human rights
organization that functions primarily as a research and advocacy nonprofit in the area of
economic and social rights.
There are also other organizations working for the welfare of human beings and for the
promotion of human rights.
