Red Cross / Red Crescent: The International Red Cross and Red
Crescent Movement is the largest humanitarian network in the world. Its mission is to
alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity especially during
armed conflicts and other emergencies

Doctors Without Borders:

A group which sends physicians and other


health workers to some of the most destitute and dangerous parts of the world and
encourages them not only to care for people, but also to condemn the injustices they
encounter. The 1999 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Doctors Without Borders (in
French, Medicines Sans Frontiers).

Green Peace:
(Environmental Science) an organization founded in 1971 that stresses the need to maintain a ba
