A Checklist For The Google Slide Presentation

The document provides instructions for an 8th grade STEM project group presentation. It must include: 1) The project title, names of group members and purpose. 2) Background concepts including relevant theories, laws and how they relate to the design and its impact. 3) Procedures followed and modifications made, supported by photos of the design. 3) Data analysis including tables, computations, and connections between data and outcomes. The implications of design changes should also be discussed.

Grade 8 STEM Projects

Your group’s Google slide presentation must include the following:

• Title of your STEM design Project

• Names of team members
• Purpose
(You may look into the project handout)
• Materials
• Background concepts
(Theories and laws that connect to the process, and how they relate
to your design, what difference does it make in our daily lives,
include sketches and dig arms as needed to explain the connection)

• Procedure
(You followed during your design, and modification you made,
include pictures and photos of your own design)

• Data Processing and Analysis

(Make a table to present any data, such as distance, time, mass, etc.
you measured during testing, along with a unit. Round up
measurements to whole digits.

For processing, add columns as needed to include averages, and

computed quantities such as velocity, etc.

For analysis, you must include a connection between the data you
collected, and your outcomes. You should also discuss implications
of changes you made in your design (such as more mass, or more
thrust to propel a car)

• Evaluation
(In this section, you must evaluate your own procedure, what
worked best and what went wrong, what could you do to overcome
them in the future)

• Bibliography
(List all resources, such as power points, books, Wikipedia and
other site URLs you referred to in your presentation)
