Awareness Video Presentation:
The students will watch a video on reflection of light.
Abstraction Reflection is the bouncing off light rays when it strikes or hits a surface like a plane mirror.
Components of reflection are: a. Incident ray – the ray of light approaching the mirror
represented by an arrow approaching an optical element like mirrors. b. Reflected ray – the
ray which leaves the mirror and is presented by an arrow pointing away from the mirror. c.
Normal line – An imaginary line that can be drawn perpendicular to the surface of the
mirror at the point of incidence where the ray strikes the mirror.
Application 1. What happens when light is reflected?
2. How can one who reflects back form a positive image of oneself?
Assessment Illustrate how light reflects in a surface, label the components and describe each component.
Assignment 1. Each group should bring the following materials: 1(10cm x 15cm), 1 graphing paper,
10 one-peso coins, modelling clay and pen.
2. Read in advance the activity Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, page 173 LM Science 10.
