Internship Report
ASIAN HERITAGE FOUNDATION
(UNDER RAJEEV SETHI FOUNDATION)

The Asian Heritage Foundation (AHF) provides an eco-system of empowerment with


innovative entrepreneurship to script a sustainable future for a challenged cultural continuum.

AHF is a non-profit, non-governmental organization with concerns encompassing the


cultures, traditions, public affairs, arts and sciences of all regions of Asia, especially South Asia
(Afghanistan,Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Maldives).
It is committed to exploring new paradigms of growth sing our region's rich repository of
skills, catalyzing collaborative design-led initiatives.
It initiates programs that span research and documentation, training and transmission,
promotion & conservation of the subcontinent's diverse heritage.
It seeks civil society participation in a movement for a peaceful and modern region by
serving international cross-cultural dialogue.
It aims to support projects that reconcile the frictions between people, technology and
nature, between the old and new, the East and West that are manifest in cultural products and
services.

Week 1 :

( Orientation ) Getting to know the organization, Going through catalogs, Studying clientele,
working on basic graphic works necessary ( Flyers, Invites for clusters etc )

Week 2:

Designing Gond coasters, Abstract Gond and Madhubani Wallpapers

Week 3:
Assisting Sorai painters of Jharkhand in the office for painting the panels for the exterior wall
decor. (Assiting them in making new contemporary patterns, painting on paper mace bowls etc.)

Week 4:

Task : Design a collection of ceramic bowls with abstract


madhubani art.

Week 5:
Illustrations for ceramic decals

Week 6:

• Jaipur cluster Visit with the help of ceramic artist Kesari Nandhan.
• Visiting Gulmeher : dry flower press cluster ( East delhi)
• Started working on a new collection “JANI” :
Designing and Sampling of a range of products with the
leftover fabrics made by BAGH artisans.

Week 7:
• Designing JANI range of products ( product sketches, going to the workshop - Akhilesh
Sampler( Shahpurjat), Impressive crafts (Lajpat nagar).
• Coordinate with lead designer for the upcoming collectives in Santa Fe.

Week 8 :
Final collection
